Lighting Question

Alright, I have a 3' x 3' tent to be used with a SOG. I had been dead set on getting an LED light, but given my budget, the "best" (I've seen too many reviews saying good and bad) LED I can afford would be a MarsHydro MarsII 700 Watt. Given a budget of about $300 for a light, does anyone have any recommendations for a SOG in this size of tent?

Any recommendations on a brand to go with for a ballast? I'm finding a lot of deals on Amazon, just unsure of what brand to look for.

A ballast with no fan will be optimal.

I have 6x sunmaster hobby

ITS 118 dollars I believe on ebay

Thats the best and cheapest mark I have found.

600w in 3x3 will be very hard to controll and will always be a pain in the ass believe me!

I have seen as well very good results with the mars hydro 400!

Location amd ambient temprature plays a rule there, if the guy with the 600w in 3x3 can make it, this dosent mean you can!

I have seen as well very good results with the mars hydro 400!

I run Ushio bulbs in a Solis Tek ballast. The ballast runs MH and HPS and is dim able from 600 to 400w. Current ballast has been running over 2 years now with no trouble.

I know a lot of people will disagree with this but I like a magnetic even though elecrical will run cooler and use less energy I've found them to be less reliable especially if you get the bargain ones

Magnatic are great in price, also not this big difference in AMP AND Watts consumption.

The only thing that drives me nuts is the HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM.

I found that the humming is loider with the MH compared to the HPS tho.

I got 400w ELT magnatic ballast (MH&HPS).

Any recommendations on what kind of hood I should go with?
Cool Tube, yay or nay?
