I'm setting up a new cabinet and I wanted to run some numbers by the pros and make sure I'm not going to have to change something down the road.
My grow space will be 4x4x8 and will have a vented hood
Mother space is 28" x 48" and will have a 400w in a vented hood
The air flow will go from under the house to the 400w mother light hood, to the grow hood, and exhausted outside using a 6" can fan max with a controller and no filter
I will also have a 4" fan w/controller and carbon scrubber for odor control
I will be using an 8,000 btu ac in the 10x16 insulated room the cabinet resides in and will be used for the cabinet air exchange
I live in the Northwest so summers are semi-mild
My question is, can I (and should I) go with a 1000w in the 4x4x8 grow space or should I use a 600w? If heat isn't going to be an issue because of the ventilation setup then I feel I should go with the 1000w for the increase in yield. I plan on growing 4 or 6 in that space. I am more about less plants growing larger with plenty of space rather than shoving a whole bunch together. I have done both and to me, less is easier and can generate the same yields as many small ones.
I welcome all opinions
Thank you
