Okay so this is my first grow and everything is all good.. but I wanted to know how effective the lights I have set up are.

For the past week I've been using:

"GE" BIAX 2-PIN CFL


  • Lamp type: Compact fluorescent (Plug-in)
  • Bulb type: T-4

  • Wattage: 13 watts.

and earlier today I found another light in my basement and added it also:

2 plants, about 4-5 inches tall with 4 leafs. 7-9 days since planted.

The reason they are tall and stretched is that is not nearly enough light. You want maybe 3000 lumens, and in veg it should be mostly blue spectrum and you have mostly red. Plus flouros need to be close to the plant, like 2 inches.
