Lighting question?

Can I just grow a plant with just 12/12 lighting instead of 18/6. I would appreciate advice.Like what difference will it make if I dont have the lighting 18/6 thanks

I've heard that you can, altough it does'nt really go straight to flowering, it still veg's for a bit then flowers.

I'm guessing the difference would be a smaller plant/yield.

if you were growing from seed only, you could use 12/12 only but the seedlings would go straight into flowering and that might stress them out or at the very least yield alot less.
