Since you already have a main light source you wont need to large cfls, ide recomend either 6-8 13w or 4-6 26w. Setting them up is the easy part, and no you dont need a special lamp. What youll want to do is go to your local home depot and wander on over to the lighting section. You should find a wall of light socket adapters in all sorts of shapes and sizes. Depending on how you want to set them up youll need two different adapters:
The first is called a plug in socket adapter, and looks like a light socket with two metal prongs coming off the bottom for a electircal outlet.

The second is a Y socket adapter, which looks like two light sockets in the shape of a Y coming off (what looks like) the metal screw bottoms of a light bulb.

Finally you can get an extension cord, any size you want.
Now you screw the Y adapter into the plug-in adapter, and plug the plug-in adapter into your extension cord which is plugged into your wall and tada. When you are done it should look something like this:

depending on how many lights you decide to set up, this will run you maybe $20 max. Its cheap, efficient and dawgonit there just soooo pretty.
good luck man
