Ok so heres the deal. Im going to be starting a four room cycle so that I will be harvesting every two weeks...( I hope). I have TWO 1000w HPS that I will be putting in room #4 my flowering room (8x7') and on 12/12. I have ONE 600w HPS and TWO fluorecents on the side walls that I will be putting in room #3 my growing room (4x7') on 18/6. Then I will have one Fluor for my cloning room #1 and TWO Fluors in my growing room #2. I want to be doing 20 plants a cycle.

SO heres the question.....

I want to have 4 mothers going at all times for my cycles, what is the best light and time to keep them from not flowering ( what room should they be in)

Do I need any more lights? I think room #4 and #3 are good, but I dont know about the others (#1,#2) Do I need more Fluors?

Any advise would be great. I have about 1 month to get the rooms right. :joint: :joint:

The best light to keep your mothers viable is a metal halide. Your goal is to keep those mothers green. Just be sure to give them 10% less the nitrogen you would give a vegetative plant because less nitrogen easier to clone.

For a 20 plant SOG it sounds like you have more than enough lighting. With your existing lighting I would utilize it this way. Your fluoros dedicated to your clone/seedling chamber. Your 600 use as your vegetative light. A 600 can easily support 5 mothers and 20 vegetative plants. In the past I had a 1000 W MH which supported 6 huge mothers and hundreds of clones. Now I just use a 400 MH that supports 5 mothers and 16 vegging plants. And of course your 1,000 beasts for your flowering needs. In one of your rooms with just fluoros you could utilize for drying your finished product.

how come so many plants? i think the theory is 1 6' plant produces as much as 6 1' plants. i too am here in norcal- redding . i have a room that is 6x7 with a 1000w hps (12/12)and a veg room with a 1000w MH18/6 and ill use the closet for seedlings and clones under a flouro light. i will be rotating my crop like you but i was thinking every 2 months and close to 3 lbs from 6 plants. i might be able to fit a couple more depending on how big i let them get. sounds like you have a good setup. id be going for quality, not quantity.:blsmoke:

Calicat- I was thinking about gettting some MH lights. I found some at Home depot so I might go pick that up. I think there just 200w, but if it helps then cool. So your saying 3 rooms. Clone chamber, vegetative room and flowering. Keeping my mother in the veg... Nice, might make it easier.

Halzey- I wanted to try SOG. I want a faster turn around. If I dont like it or its too much work I'll go back to my regular growing.

Northern Cali representing.... nice
