Lighting question, help please.

Woke up and found my ladies have sprouted!!!!!!!! 3 bluw widows and 2 easy ryders. Now I have them under a few cfl's and I'm curious as to when I should put them under the metal halide? Should I do it now? or wait til they grow a little more?

your cfl's will be fine for now, when they get a bit bigger you can add the mh, some people do... but they don't need that intense light yet? unless you put far away from them to start! but you have cfl's for that, say after a few weeks then upgrade to the mh, what size mh is it?

Once the 4th or 5th node shows is a good time to move them HID.

I have them about a foot and a half away from the plants and they are just 13 watts. Didn't want to fry my ladies. My MH is only 250 watts but for my little grow space it will be fine. Going to grow the bw indoors and the easyryder out. Thanks, this is my first real grow and I need all the help I can get.

they could get a bit closer than that...say 12" then slowly lower over next few weeks, you will see they will start to stretch for those cfl's soon...better to err on the safe side than the other one though...lol good luck...feel free to ask anything that you may have question with, that's why we are here to help you get the best meds you can grow
