Lighting for certain size

Is it okay to use a 250hps in an enclosed space of 3.9' wide x 3.9' deep x 6.5' tall?

that sounds like too much area. You usually want to keep it at about 45-75 watts per square foot. So 250 watts/(almost 16 square feet) = about 15.625 watts per square foot is way to little. Good luck and happy growing :)

maybe something like this? 2.6' wide x 2.6' deep x 5.25' tall
