Lighting for a Seedling?

I just germinated a seed and planted it. It took about 5 days to germinate and she rose from the dirt in 2 days, 1-31-2012 is her 2nd day after sprouting. Now I have given her 24hr light(250w halide) since I planted her(Orange Crush). My question is how long do I give her 24hr light and when should I change? She is already an inch tall and has 4 leaves.

if youre using a MH light you can use that all the way through veg and you can put your light to 18/6, 20/4, 22/2 whenever you want to or just stay 24/0 until its time to switch to 12/12 for flowering. some people advise you veg at a 24/0 light cycle but its really up to you and you electric bill

well because its a seedling, you dont want the light too close to her. id try about 12-16 inches. then once she has a nice set of healthy fan leaves then you can move it down to about 10-12 inches away.
also, you dont have to give her 24 hours of light. you can run 18/6 all the way until you decide to flower.

Thanks asdewqasdfgh that's kinda wat I am looking for. That set of smooth leaves is ther, but fan leaves came right after. last time the fan leaves took a little longer

On the other side of the spectrum, my seedlings are under a 1000w MH, too much light hasn't been an issue. Heat is well managed. Since my seedlings are the shortest under there, they are probably 30"+ away however. I put them there as soon as they showed the first leaves.

I have a 250wh to veg with, and a 400whps to flower with. I have 2 seperate grow rooms. I started with just 1 plant and it's a month into flowering and when it's done I wanna take my new seedling(orange crush) and this Jack Herer clone i have had for 3 months. When I got it, I couldn't care for her properly. Now I am ready t veg it with this seedling.

The Jack herer that I think will be ready to veg in 2-3weeks. How long does it take for these
seedlings to get about 2'. I grow my plants a little bigger as space isn't a problem. Plus, my lights
would seem to be able to handle this many plants.

This is "Mr. Clean" my first plant ever. I veg'd
her for 10weeks. She was about 2'6" tall and
3' in dia. when I started flowering. She is 1
month into flowering.
