Lighting Dilema

About to start my second grow and i'm excited. Last grow I did indoor with CFL/ Florescent tube, had a weak ass harvest, threw the plants outside and got a second harvest at the end of summer which was much better. The buds were scrawny and the whole plant was very weak compared to how it looked in the sun. My lighting was pretty sad, less than 10,000 lumens per square foot, coming from CFLs.

So it's time to start my second grow, there's currently below freezing temps so transfering outside isn't an option, this one will have to be 100% indoor. I am bouncing back and forth between two options 150Watt HPS, or 3 CFLs coming together to about 800watts(definitely much more than last grow). the CFL setup would be a bit more friendly to my wallet than the HPS.

Here's the next question. I saw these mogouls on amazon that can support up to 400watts of HPS and cost only 20 bucks. Is it possible to get that and a 400watt bulb? making my grand total for the setup a mere $50? I would imagine that it would get a bit hotter like that however if anything i could use a little more heat, since my house gets down bekow 60 degrees at night.

thanks for your help, anyone who has experience with this mogoul business would be of great assistance.

okay so i figured out the mogoul question, if i were to do that i need a ballast, so it is not as cost efficient.
so now it's a 150watt HPS for $80
or 100-200 watt of CFL for around 40$
i'm leaning towards the HPS because i assume i'll get my extra money back in bud.
