lighting cycle question

just wondering out of curiousity really when on a 18/6 does it have to be a constent 6 hrs of darkness or does anyone ever stager so its split into say 9 - 3 - 9 - 3?

You are replicating nature. Does nature do this? Finish with common sense here.

Yea dude dont break the cycle, 18hrs on 6hrs off, no more no less, 24hrs is okay if you have the right strain, but I thought to myself, where on planet earth does the sun shine for 24 hours everyday, LoL

i aint going to do it, was just wondering if anyone has every done it, or is there a reason as to why it would hinder the growing that's all

You break the light cycle you risk your plants herming on you, but in nature yeah! you get bright full moons, that a plant can almost photosynthesize by ...I say almost, look to the gas lantern method, but do up your skill level first

thats where my idea kinda came from but the GLM is 12 hours light 5.5 hours dark and 1 hour light and then again 5.5hours dark, and i understand how that could help

but then got me thinking if anyone has done it another way
