Lighting controller recomendations?

I'm on a budget, but having my electrical set up right and safe is important to me.

I have a 100 amp subpanel dedicated to my grow room.

I'm looking for a lighting controller that can be hard wired in by my electricial with a built in timer that I can eventually plug 6 HPS lights in (probably 1000 watters). I assume that 240 V is best, but I could be wrong.

I'm considering one from Tital Controls (Helios 8) or the guys that I am buying my equipment from tell me that the Power Box Inc. make good stuff.. but it seems $$$$$

Please let me know what you think. I'm probably starting with 2-3 lights.

Thank you.

i am re-arranging my setup and am moving my 230v outlets... its pretty simple to build a box yourself from the hardware store. you have the internet at your fingertips. and aslong as you wear gloves and you tern breakers off you dont have to worry about shox! look to the electrician on riu... he is a big help. im going to see if he has a good schematic for one. as long as you verify amperage and dont go over 75% of that amperage you should be good. 100a panel should be good for any home op.

G33kDro - Thanks for the tip. I'm short on time and this room is taking forever, so I ended up buying a CAP controller, 8 light at 240 Volts. It was about $220 and has a trigger cord that plugs into a 110V outlet and can use a simple timer. This set-up seems safe and the price was right compared to most other options. Now I have to install it and get all the electical done in the rooms..
