Lighting advice

Hi all I'm currently using 2x 600w hps for flower with the heat we have had my room is like 29°c witch is two hot for my liking.

Summer is on it's way and I was thinking of changing to LED just for the summer period.

Can any one give me any information on decent ones not cheap ones. My bugget is around £500-£800 but I want to try and get the same results as my 2 600w hps.

Blurple LED's won't flower as good as HPS, but they still do a decent job. VIPARSPECTRA is pretty good brand also Mars Hydro, but you'd need like 2x 600w LEDs to do about same job as one 600w HPS. May wanna look into Cob lights or quantum boards.

I got a blurple Maxissun 1440w that flowers very well. Cant beat it for the money. But I’m getting away for the blurple. I’m going to quantum’s they seem to be where it’s at.

29c is fine mate - That's what I set my fans at (UK) - weed is naturally happy around 30c, and it also means water gets consumed at a good rate which reduces the risk of old stale nutes hanging around if you are Hydro.

Last summer mine sat in the early 30's

The COBs and QBs are nice and you get to see your plants under white light. The HLG 550v2 is supposed to keep up with a single bulb 1000w HPS so it may be close to your 2 600 hps with less heat. They are around 800-900 USD. You can save $$ building your own.

Why not look into getting air cooled hoods? I'd go with cmh over leds myself if you did get new lights. Also is a portable A/C out of the question?

Thanks all for the info. Think I'm just gonna run my 2 300w cfl with 1 600w hps on the hot days that hopfully should keep my temps down 5°c. I shall experiment. Thanks again.

Dont use a thermometer and never worry about what temp it is ever again - thats how i roll thesedays :-)

I no bro but after the heat I'm alredy starting to see nanners from heat stress and I'm sick of eating them now. Only a week or 2 away but might harvest early not sure. I'm going get some reg seeds and grow a mother plant femz just stress to easily in my opion.

Find a heat resistant strain like african or such :-)

The fem seeds i've used never grew nanners, then again mine never got too hot, we did get some near +40c days outside last year they still were fine. how many plants do you have in you tent also how big is it, perhaps consider using just one HPS light. They could also be getting stressed from something else.
