Lightening for 20 plants.

Hello there, I am making a room for 20 to 30 plants, Everything is good, but there is one thing that I need some advices from pro's, I am willing to grow 20 big buds at the start, but I dont really know how much lightening I need, and what type light, I am watching the LED grow lights, I really like them and I think they are very good, i think I could buy leds and make lamps from them, but how much, what type and how much leds to how much plants? And what HID lamps are the best for cannabis? And ehat lamps for how many plants? I eill be very thankfull for any answer, tahnk you.

I doubt your going to do big bud any good with leds. Also my experiance with big bud is don't let them get too big in veg or you will run out of head room.

Room is about 160 square feet. ok, it may not be the big bud, my friend is selling seeds, and I am still thinking, because I can get them any time I need. I just tought that from big bud I can get more yield.

More yield requires more light. Imo you will need at least 2X1000 watt lights to grow 20 to 30 plants. 10 to 15 under each. looks like u have the room. That's good. There are a lot of opinions about multiple 600's instead of 1000's. I like that fewer lights mean lower costs and room design headaches..

What lights are you using MH, AGRO, HPS - TS?


And how about led's?

Led's seem to be too expensive and experimental at this time. Most ppl use mh for veg and hps for flower. You can get a switchable ballast to go from mh to hps when you flower. or another option is straight hps though out your grow. not optimum, but pretty good.

in over your head if growing a 160^2 foot room and asking what lights.

Start small.

I'd recommend 4x 600W
And place 6 plants under each lamp.
So now you have 4 groups of 6
8x 250W CFL
place 2 per group and make sure you rotate the plants from spot every 4 days..
Also someone who wants 20 plants and doesn't know about lighting is going to lose alot of money very quickly.. electric bills/ water bills/ nutrients.
Start growing 4 plants first learn the necessary steps to grow plants big and make high yields.. and then go into 20+
Also make sure you use the right nutrients, cause otherwise you could have 10x1000W and your plants will still yield airy buds..

I recommend the following combination from Advanced Nutrients.. which I think is the best combo:
Carboload
Big Bud
Sensi Bloom A+B
Overdrive
Sensizym
Voodoo juice

Look on the AN website for the right mix.

I started off with 1000w hps and 15 plants and pulled 1lb 13oz. thats about .8 grams per watt, not bad for the first time. just remember its a weed the less you fuck with it the better you'll be. good luck

Who's hating?
Why work with more than 4-5 plants ata time if you have only one light? I dunno I dig growing big. I expect to get 4-8 oz per plant under one 600 hps. You can get a 600 alot closer than a 1000.

Dupli,I have started 18 under a 400 MH with plans of flowering under a 1000 HPS on a light mover.Buy a digital hid system if you can? Just my 2 cents.Good luck & happy growing.
