light stopped working

Heard breaker trip and went inside grow room to smell something burning..noticed the inside tube of the hps bulb was disconnected..changed Bulb and it still doesn't work..is it the ballast ? It's a month old

did you buy it online? If I buy a light or ballast I buy local since if the item goes bad I can take it back and at the very least get a loaner until the original ballast is sorted out.

Yes online..does tbisnsound like something a ballast would do

If You Smelled Burning I would not use it until you find out for sure if it is the ballast or not keep a close eye and nose on it, You sure don' t need a fire. Is your unit a Magnetic or Digital ? although they may both have a fuse. Good Luck and be careful .

I Hate to ask because it sounds Stupid, But do you have anything else plugged in to the Outlet the ballast is plugged into . Just wondering, I have seen that happen before and it was.the outlet and not the ballast., Also cbuts you can unplug the plug that goes into the Ballast itself and see if that Black plastic that surrounds the fuse Pops open. if it does there may be a fuse there. check. I hope u get it fixed soon. Good Luck My Friend .

I tried but didn't see one..I didn't wanna damage it..I don't see a fuse

I went a few days with only half of my closet lit up once when a bulb took a shit. they will be fine

if you have another ballist, plug it into the other light that is out now just to make sure its not a bulb. I had both my cheep htg bulbs go bad in the first month.
