Light spectrum modulation: get bigger dense yields?

Hey folks, I'm curious if anyone has ever experimented with using ONLY blue light (like the veg switch on an LED) during the first 2 weeks of flowering/stretch. I've been reading a lot about how different wavelengths of light affect cannabis growth differently at different stages of development, and it seems like adding red light prior to the completion of the stretch would only result in lankier stems with larger spacing between nodes. Since tight node spacing leads to denser buds and more of them, wouldn't it make sense to leave red out entirely until the calyxes start sprouting? Any problems with this theory? For instance, could the lack of extra light energy reduce overall growth during this period if red is left out?

Im a cfl grower, the e40 threads, Ive grown under red, it was a 150w 2500k light, yeilded about 60g first try, 2nd 83g, ive upped to a 250w red and ive a 250w 6500k blue. Both have new seedlings, I also want to know the difference, I plan on buying another red light, but i have to stay with my cfls for the near future, (life) But if im unable, i guess Ill see and tell you my findings. Im using pelgron grow, and flower, also 30l pots lst, both plants are ak48 from nirvana seeds. The one under the blue light poped today, under the red light last grow the flower was only about 60cm tall, but i attributed it to lst. Im a new grower, this is my 3rd attempt.so.

Not so fast youngster......

Back in the day when we first had Merc vapors. They worked well and we used them.
Then came the MH HID bulbs and we got more power out of the light per sqft. Still we looked to be better at bloom because we still could not get it more like outdoor.
Along came the HPS and not only did we get another jump in power per sqft but we got better bloom results that closed the gap to outdoors some more.

We then did the MH/HPS veg/bloom thing. I still get simply fine results indoors this way....

I always change to HPS for blooming right away. I also add extra N, every other feeding. Till I get a complete flower set.
I feel I get much faster/more powerful flower set and they don't seem to stretch as much - if I did't push the N a little.

I stop this at flower set - exposed, solid, early budding... under 2 weeks.

There are certain red nm bands that actually help flowering to start....The place of PAR lighting and the DEEP reds are important to plant health and regulation also.

Look at it this way.
How does nature do it?
Now over a bazillion years plants have evolved in what nature has given it...
What you propose will not beat nature by the way of improvement in the final outcome...

We try ever so hard to copy natural light... It's still that line of thought that works best.
