I am using a 400w son t agro. How far should it be from my plants? I started from seed with the light about 1m from the seedlings. The plants are kinda stringy. Should the light have been closer:?

They are actually 3 weeks into their flowering cycle now. I was just wondering for future reference cause the distance between the nodes has become quite large in age and was wondering if it was due to the light not being close enough.

ok so you have an hps now im assuming and you used an MH for the vegging period. And a sure way to tell if your light is to far or to close is to put your hand under your light and if it starts to burn its too close. (test it with a temp gage and let sit for an hour to see great results) do you have tempered glass on your light if so it allows you to move the light closer by deflecting the heat...also keep well ventilated and you'll have no problem keeping the light close but not too close to burn yor ladies. Peace brother and happy grow. :peace:
