Light socket to AC Plug

I was wondering where people find these locally - a light socket bulb, standard size, on one end, and an AC plug (for your wall outlet) at the other end.

I found a website here (http://www.surplussales.com/Electrical/LampSockets/LampSockets-3.html), and the prices seem okay, but I should be able to find these things around town. My local home depot had only an 11 dollar heavy duty one, and my Wal Mart had nothing but some 15 dollar trouble light!

Any advice on where to get these, or where you got yours?

So far, I think I might just have to order off this website that I found...

I'm gonnna bump this up just once. I've friggin been everywhere around town and I have no ideas left. Anything that seems reasonable costs like 10+ dollars....

Also, reflector lights for CFLs with the aluminum thing around it - would you guys guess home depot? I only really want 1 of them. What I just want is these simple adaptors!!! :(

Ya home depot has the reflector and the adapter to AC plug in. I bought a few from them last weekend. I think I paid just over $5 for them. The Home Depot by me has them right by the CFL's.

I got them at walmart for like a buck and a half. Some walmarts don't have them, but I live in a big area so I hit up a few of them and eventually found enough. They're like in the electrical section in the hardware.

That gives me some search results, and I think I'm blind, because none of those 16 results seems like what I need. Jeeze... Maybe I've been searching for this all wrong or something. If you could toss me the link for the exact item, that'd be awesome.

Also, what about this? http://www.twacomm.com/catalog/model_1403.htm?sid=B77BF83371B3772BA4620D205C9DA2DD

I realize the purpose of that is to be able to plug stuff in to get power, but if I plugged in a power source, would it power the light I stick in one end? Just curious - it might be a dumb Q. Thanks guys!

Yeah. I hit up Home De Pot just a couple days ago for a few of those and some two-fers. They were about $2 apiece in mine.

Yeah honestly I have no idea what is wrong, when I click those links it just says "The product is currently not available" and it doesn't give me anything. Maybe it's cause I'm in canada or something...Ah well... I guess I'll just hunt around some more!

Ahh, thank you!

I found one of the socket->AC outlet pieces at a home hardware locally..it's friggin 3.99 each though, and theyare obviously made of 1 piece of plastic and 2 pieces of metal. Oh well.. I guess I have no other option...
