light schedule all mucked up

Well guys I had to mess around my light/dark schedule a little bit, because someone was threatening to tear down my setup. I hid them in a dark place for 24 hours. I had my lighting schedule to turn on at 8 am and turn off at 8 pm. well my lights turned off as usual at 8 pm, and had to keep my plant in hiding till 8 pm the next day. Would it be better for me to turn on my lights now and run them for 24 hours to get back on my regular lighting schedule, or let them stay in the dark for another 12 hours and resume normal operation at 8 am?

i changed my light sched in the middle of flowering,i gave it 24 hours darkness and then put them outside under the suns schedule with about 16 hours of light they took a few days to adapt and now are continueing flowering nicely.i hope this helps.

12/12 is a standard. you can have more dark than 12 hours, but not more light. so, don't worry about the long dark, just pick a time, anytime, and turn the lights on to start 12/12 again.
