I am currently using a 600hps and 8 HO t5's 4 @ 2700 and 4 @ 6500. Would i be better using just one 1000 hps. Unfortunatly i have to limit lighting to a 1000 watts do to wire size to shed. My canopy is appr. 6 feet wide by 4 feet, im getting good coverage now but t5's are doing the outer edges, 600 just basically covering the center. Is the 1000 going to get to the edge? Also i've only got about a foot and a bit between plants and ceiling. Hood for thousand is ducted though.

But will it cover a 6x4 canopy? I know it is a better choice but thought it covered only a 5x5 area.

depends on the shade you use as well Gavita 1000w claim to do a 6x4 canopy, you will also have to think of how to get rid the heat as 1000 is prob double heat to a 600w

if your really trying to maximize wattage and its that big of a deal to get extra grow space maybe you should grow vertical.

Space is really not an issue. The heat may be but my shade for the 1000 is ducted but no glass, ill get it if needed. I actually have 24" from canopy to ceiling. The White Russian is a stretchy bastard lol. There 39 days in to 12/12 and 59 days from seed, so really should i just leave them? The buds are actually starting fill in. Honestly this is always the time when i look at the buds and think they are kinda small, then they pop and fill in lol. I'll try to get a pic up today!!! Thanks for the advice!!
