light mover, 1000w HID, and 30 plants???

On my next grow i want to do something big so i can stop growing for a good while cuz i get paranoid.

I know a 1000w HID light can grow a 4ftx4ft area. I can fit 16 3 gallon pots into a 4x4 area. If i use my light mover could i grow a good yielding potent crop of 30 plants?

I'm counting on 10 plants being males and getting trashed. this would leave 20 plants under a 1000w HID.

I also supplement the edges with fluros.

Any opinions or idea will be appreciated.

You cant effectivly grow 20 plants with 1 1000w hps. my partner uses 2 1000w to grow 16. We grow outdoors when we grow more than that.

what kind of a yield does your buddy get with 16 plants and 2 lights?? just curious.....im using 2 1000 w lights for 24 plants...they seem to be doing well...

yield depends on strain. last go around he, (we) were growing Higher Power, relatively small indica plant and averaged 2 zips per plant. before that we grew Haze and averaged 4 zips. so it depends. your 2 lights to 24 would do well. I was saying 1 light for 20 is kinda ambitious.

oh...btw that was super silver haze from GHS. some got more than 4 zips but the average was 4.

cuzzin... a 1000 watter is 8 x 8 area. and yeah 30 plants with a 1k hps and a mover is hella doable

Yes it is possible. 1x 1000w on a 6' light rail with a 4x8 room and 32 3 gal. pots.

And if you air cool the light you will be able to take it so close to the plants considering the light mover and you will have some dense and heavy colas.
