Light leaks on tent stitching

Thanks all, The only source of light outside the tent is a window that has a wooden blind, I put some thin black foam packaging but it lets a lot of light through still.

I needed a small amount of mylar anyay for the tops of my pots, so I've just ordered a roll that will be enough to cover the blind and tops of the pots.

I think that should do it.

Regardless of how big that light leak is, if you bought this brand new and it came with any leaks, I'd be on the phone with them getting a new one..

I hate when companies send shotty products and then don't stand behind their shotty products..

TBH tho, I haven't found a good tent yet, I quit looking and decided to go full rooms instead.
Every single grow tent since they started making them leaks around the stitches.
Possibly gorilla changed that but I wouldn't pay the price regardless.

It's a non issue that doesn't affect anything.

If it was purchased new and it came like this, it's not fine.. Just out of principle alone I would take it back..

Im a dick tho and not afraid to tell someone they produced a shitty product.
Depends if it was advertised as zero light leak stitching. Which i very much doubt.

It was a fairly cheap tent as indoor tents go, to be fair, and it's already all set up now, pretty much, so returning it would mean sooo much hassle.

I figure it will not nessesrliy be an issue... but the easiest and neatest fix is just to light proof the window a bit more, by taping a a sheet of mylar on the inside of the (closed) blinds so it still looks totally normal from the outside. Its only a small window, its like about 2foot by 3foot approx, and 2nd floor. Its a very small spare bedroom and I'll be the only person that would ever go in there anyway.

From my experience, I've never had problems with a light leaks and I occasionally leave some of my flaps unzipped. I personally believe that the worry of a small amount of light leak is actually no big deal, especially if the light isn't strong and it's not shining on the leaves.
