Light Leaks from a warped door... ideas?

So I am in my third cycle in a bedroom of my house, problem is the door has warped a little bit and there's some small light leaks. I need three feet to open the door (it swings into the room) but I need to cover up these light leaks before I start flowering. I have used plastic in the past but it keeps ripping off because alot of my fresh air comes from outside the room through the door.

Because of the way the joists are set up under the house, it'd be really hard for me to drill a six inch hole in the floor without doing some fairly large modification that the land lord would likely notice later. Do you guys have any ideas of how to prevent these light leaks?

P.S Putting ply wood over the door frame is not really an option because alot of my fresh air comes from there.

Buy a new door?

It will warp just like the other one did just a matter of time ya know? Looking for more of a permanent fix.

Maybe a new door with some kind of Velcro attached heat deflective material so you can remove it when and if you leave the property?
I have also heard that hardwood doors do not warp hardly at all even in high heat situations but hardwood doors are much more expensive.

Im not sure if I understand right but if the door is the issue you can use 3 mil black plastic staple it around the dorr jambs and then they make a tarp zipper you peel the backing off and its sticky. You stick it in the middle of the doors plastic and push it til it sticks.You then unzip it and run a razor between the zipper teeth making a slit all the eay down. You now have a zipper door sealed all the way around. You can close th regular door to hide it from the outside.They have them at home depot, menards and walmart from $8-$18

you can hang a heavy blanket over it. something that matches the room decor.

how about some foam strips? some matress type foam cut to suit and glued to the frame will allow the door to open and close and still allow some air to pass through while blocking the light.

Set up a plastic layer with 2X4s connected at the bottom and ceiling so hopefully the air wont keep pulling it off like it has in the past.

Yeah, I actually have a hard wood door but its a cheapo for sure, that's why it's warping like a piece of garbage. Starting 12.12 tomorrow... running 3600 watts of Care Free (Super Silver HazeXEarly Durban) and Gush (af-good\kush) Always fun to watch new strains and crosses grow. I saw the guys outdoor project that gave me the clones, they look nice. Should be a sixty day strain.

weather stripping works well.

I would try a think rubber weather stipping or something along that line.

Here's what you do. Buy an 82-84" long (52" wide) panel of fabric from a bedding store. It's a light filtering material that blocks 98% of light and is meant to be hung over windows. Buy a small curtain rod and cut it in half if needed. Make sure you buy the proper mounts. Mount the curtain rod above the door inside the closet and hang the drapery inside the closet. This also reduces excess noise in addition to filtering light. Good luck.

P.S. - If you want the ultimate light blocking material get the purple curtains they use for movies theatres. You can buy it online all over the place. It's more expensive but works perfectly.

This sounds perfect for my situation. Fletch, can you tell me where in Walmart to get this? is it actually called a "Tarp zipper"? Would this be in sporting goods for tents or something? I definitely want to do my two closet doors like this. Will 3 mil completely block light?

Was going to try weather stripping but I'm pulling alot of my fresh air through that door (tho I'm working on fixing that) so I decided to hang plastic wrapped in two by fours ont he ground, and then screw it into the ceiling. So far so good. If the plastic keeps getting ripped off the 2X4 I will likely just put some foam up as Paddy said.
