Light intensity stress? Drop some knowledge on me

Hi everyone! First off I want to say that this community of like-minded people is enriching my life and de-stressing me. I’m a perfectionist like all of you and I want nothing but the best for my ladies!

I’ve had an issue with V shaped leaves my entire grow (not rolling or canoeing). I’m guessing it’s the light... too strong for the space?

•I temp gun the canopy and get 72-75 degrees (always cool)
•Overall tent temperatures range from 77-81 degrees.
•RH at bottom of tent 60-70%
•RH at middle of tent 45-55%(fan blowing directly above canopy dissipating LED heat

Specs:
•32x32x62 tent
•Intake fan on bottom
•Exauhst fan w/ carbon filter
•600w Viparspectra LED garbage (270w @ wall)
• SPECS FOR LIGHT SAY 24-38” away for veg( I’m at about 22”.)
•Conclusion, I’m out of space to raise the light and I need a pro to school this noob please.

Your'e plant looks happy and healthy. I see no signs of heat stress or light stress. If they were curling or bleaching, I'd be worried. I have a kush strain that naturally curls a little due to genetics, especially the newer leaves. What your plants are doing is called "praying", which isn't a bad thing. Mine do it too. Watch your plants right before lights out. I bet they start to droop. That's called the circadian rhythm.

They sure do droop! A lot! And curl up even more. That’s very cool.
So you think it’s my strain that does this weird V-shaped new growth? Very interesting. Thank you for your help( I’m still scared of this V shape growth

Hi @garden420love

It's nice to hear you are enjoying the community here, welcome to the forum.

One idea that popped into my head from reading your post is this, how about constructing a small raised frame for your grow tent to mount on top of and attach to, you know just a sturdy square frame to give you an extra foot or 2? You would have to modify the bottom of your tent and figure a way to seal it all off well, but it shouldn't be too difficult, just need a way to expand that space a bit is all and you'd be back up to optimal levels again.

Hope this helps, cheers.

No light stress .... plants are healthy and responsive.

IMO typical leaf reaction during photorespiration , stoma opens and gas is exchanging.... later on stomas close. Although ambient temps , light intensity and available co2 do factor in .

Thank you for the welcoming! Much appreciated! Dude, great idea. I think I need a couple more feet for sure!
I’ve heard the Mars Hydro TS1000 is optimal for this grow space, and cheap lol.

Man, thanks again for your wise words. I will be putting all that into consideration. Much appreciated!!! Thank you for your wisdom.

Your plants look great! You are going to need more space for sure. I wouldn’t worry about too much light stress from the light, I have a Chinese light too and I don’t think we can burn our plants with them.
