Light intensity @start of Flower? +sex

Just flipped my plants last night, light (FC4800) has been at 12-15" & 50% dimming for the past 2 weeks. Time to crank up the light slowly?

* Side note, how many days till i can reliably determine sex? While i got you here...

When I go from veg to the flip, I go from 400 to 600 PAR- to 700 to 900 PAR, so about a 30% increase?
I usually turn it up about a week before the flip.............. above about 1000 PAR, and I think you may need to supplement with CO2.

You should see any males by now. the females have the white "hairs, so I dont think you have any males...................

I don't increase the light initially I wait until they're responding to the light change then start to increase it, say around wk3-4 I'd be getting around 90/100% intensity.

The time to determine sex varies with the strain the age of the plant and your environment but normally 2 weeks is enough.

I’m not familiar with your light so I couldn’t say. As far as sexing it usually takes about 1-2 weeks from 12/12 flip to tell. Males tend to show first.

I see balls forming on 1 & 4. Number 2 is looking like it may be female.. still to early to be definite. (I heard from an older fella that the crossed stipules indicate it's female from an early glance. He was right about my thug pug plant, but I'm not living by it lol) If I went by that.. I'd say 3 is male as well.. give them a few more days.. maybe a week to show their true colors.

I'm pretty positive on 1 & 4 tho.

Edit: I wouldn't crank it up yet. The light is close as it is. I'd be at 50% / 20" at the flip.

For future reference you can take a clone put it in a jug of water then into 12-12 that way you only keep the females and you can continue vegging them to your canopy size, meaning if half are male you have half the canopy size.

If I end up with one female I'm happy, 2 im even happier. Of course the 2 biggest plants would be the ones you're calling definite males!

He just flipped to 12/12 last night. Literally less than 24 hrs and you think you can sex them? :rolleyes:

Oh ok. I had plants 8 weeks from sprout that weren’t showing sex. They didn’t show until after flip.

Dude its crazy how much bigger they got in
less than 72hrs. Now i have first hand experience as to why its called weed. I'm going to have to get a fix for the sides of tent sucking in, i know people shared fixes with me in other threads, gonna have to find em.

What’s 4 off 8 on mean? If it smells at below setting 4 then run it at 4 or 5.
