How high should i keep my 1000 watt above my plants in veg and in flower stage? is it different heights for both?

Though, If you have optimum ventilation then you could probably get 2-6 inches closer, but a 1000 should be 2 feet

I find 24-32" is nice. A lot depends on your hood and your heat management. I put it as close as I can while maintaining green growth with full strength nutes. Too close and my plants yellowed and are stressed. I also raise them during the transition and let the plants grow to the lamp as opposed to keeping it as the same height over the tops throughout.

so bout 2 feet during veg and bloom, gotcha thnx guys... im using 2, 4 feet florecents right now just for the first few weeks of veg and keep that about 5 inches off the plants and they r doing great... that is ok to keep that close with flourecents right?

I was using a 600w mh/hps about 6inches away until i burnt my tops after i flipped, i ended up swithcing to 2- 90w leds and now i can keep em about an inch away with no problem and better results than my HIDs.

i dont have led or the funds.... so will my 1000 be good enough for 6 plants? also can i get half lb, i a using advanced nutes as well?

shit really smoke? thats awesome.. for veg im just starting wit nutes and using sensi a and b, b-52, nd voodoo juice.... wat else should i use for the bloom part to achieve bout half lb a plant..

thats awesome bro... now im growing them all straight from fem seeds.. so like how tall should i let them get befor i top them, and how many times should i top them? twice?? im watching uncle ben vids as we speak

Grow the plant to 6 nodes. then pinch the plant off above the 2nd true node.

if u have root hormone you can replant that top u just cut off and now u have another plant.

I have never topped a plant multiple times so I cant give ya any info on that

My last grow I vegged 3 plants(all around 30in. tall) under T5s and CFLs, an inch away from tops, then flowered under 600w HPS, around 12in away from tops, and got close to 9ozs of dry herb. This time around I'm going with 6 plants lsted and scrogged. Vegging under 600wMH and flowering under 600wHPS and hoping to get at least 20ozs of dry herb.

Your 1,000wHPS and 6 plants should yield more than half lb of dry herb with no problem
