I have 2 1000 watt lights. can i run both on the same 20 amp breaker?
One is a Magnetic the other is electronic, the magnetic is 9.5 amps the electronic dont say.

I wouldn't... I guess if the wiring is all done properly, the worst that would happen is the breaker would be thrown. Still, that seems to be cutting it awfully close to the full 20 amps IMO. Personally, I'd feel more comfortable having some headroom - separating them out, or getting bigger wire/breaker to them. I'm no pro though - just my opinions.

i will keep them on different breakers. I also have 220 right there i was thinking on splitting it right there in to two 110 plugs, i separate the breaker so they would be two singles. what do u think?

you will probably get nuissance tripping with both those lights on the same 20 amp circuit. Any kind of current over like 16 (80% rated) amps is getting sketchy. If your electrical system is working properly it is just annoying and not really dangerous.

Any chance of putting them on seperate circuits? could just be an average 15amp, and then you still got a few amps to work with for other goodies. 12 amps max for 15amp circuit.

the electronic ballast will probably draw less than the magnetic, but not much, 1000 watts is 1000 watts , mathematically it is 8.3 amps (at 120v) but that is at 100% efficiency, plus I believe those ballasts will spike at startup.

Sounds like a good plan.
