i vegged round two in the big GH for a while while waiting for round 1 to finish, they're also all in 5 gallon buckets instead of 2-5 gallon containers.
hoping for a nice harvest but i have different strains out there this time, so who knows.

there are four sheets of 4x8 that slide over the top, along with a few little planks to block the gaps.
the sides are covered by 4mm black plastic doubled up on itself. i roll it up and hook it in place to let the light in and unroll it to block the light, and use cinderblocks to keep the plastic from flying up in the wind.
takes about 12-15 minutes to put on and 8-10 minutes to take off.

I have found the Lowe's bucket the epitome of cost effective container as well LOL.....a little Vermiculite helped my MG mix to retain a little moisture over a couple days time....nice light dep dude seriously tits.

the miracle gro containers greened up the quickest, but now they are yellow and purple in all the wrong places. just ugly. i'll probably just induce flowering for a few weeks, and then move them out of the greenhouse come late july or early august to flower on their own out there.

You use the organic MG? I have some squash doing the same thing right now lol Maxsea is helping a lot.

i would never waste maxsea on my veggie gardens! but i did give the MG plants a dose of maxsea the other day and the ugliness is vanishing almost too quickly to believe.
maxsea costs slightly less than fox farm nutrients, does a somewhat better job, and is much easier to administer (less measuring). i am sold on the stuff.

sweet light depo greenhouse unclebuck. what did you use to secure the PVC roof to the post? im very interested in any info your willing to share about the building of your greehouse.

like anything i build, i would build it much differently the second time around.
to secure the PVC roof to the frame, i roughly measured the angle at which the PVC would hit. then, i cut little blocks of 2x4 to this angle, fastened two blocks together, drilled a hole about an inch deep into them, fastened the little jig to the greenhouse, put some glue in the holes, and stuck the PVC in.
i'll take a pic tomorrow for ya.

i think i got it. pictures would be cool. how bad is the smell of the greenhouse so far? how many feet tell it hits you like a bag of bricks? shit it has to reek!

about 25 days since i flipped it to 12/12 for round two, and things are coming along nicely.

either GDP or star trek.
black domina? i'm not quite sure.
#1. unknown genetics, decent high, easy to grow, later finisher.
only 36 days since i flipped them to 12/12. i'm no longer gonna cover them every night as the days are getting short enough and these are pretty deep into flower. they won't revert, i feel sure of that.
also, ventilation suffers for those hours when it's covered, making botrytis a concern.
