Whats up gang-
I am trying to make some plans and get stuff in order for next outdoor season. I would really love to have a light dep set up.
I know it can take a good bit of manual labor and being around a lot, both of which I am most likely capable of, but there are some questions I have about automating some aspects of it and some exhaust fan questions.
I would like to have about a 14 ft wide, 10 feet high, 20 foot long hoop house that I would use as my light dep.
So I've been doing some looking around and trying to talk to some others who have done one in the past, I've found some stuff but still have some questions unanswered.
Is there something like sub 500$ that is like a handle that the cover would roll on to and you could essentially crank the cover over instead of attempting to like throw the cover over with ropes and pull it?
Along with that, is there a way you can put it on a timer nd have it go on and off and specific times? Or is that creeping into super expensive range?
Then I have questions about exhaust fans and humidity. I'm assuming in a space of that size you'd need like..2 10 in exhaust fans attempting to pull that hot humid air out, along with probably one intake fan? Is it smart to time it so once its pitch black outside you could pull the cover again so its not covered, but still dark but don't have to worry about the humidity skyrocketing? Time it so when the sun comes up would be "lights on" then cover it for lights off then pull back off again during dark when its actually dark?
Then Id need to address some power, I think Id need access to a bit of electricity for circulation fans, exhaust fans and stuff. I could attempt to run a extension cord from the house but its a good ways behind the house. Would a generator be my best bet? Or attempt at a cheap ish solar set up?
Think that's all I have off the top of the head, im sure there are more questions ill have.
