i have a light reflector like the clamp lights the aluminum dome or whatever metal it is
does that conduct heat well? because i only have 3 23w cfls and it gets really hot in there its only a 1x1x2 space so its not that big but i have two fans one in and one out and it gets to about 90-92 each day

Cfl's dont get that hot and the Clamp light won't get too hot but you might want to look into getting another fan, I like between 75-80 MAX but thats just me.

Good smoking Good Luck :bigjoint:bongsmilie

most likely not caused by this but it would be a great idea to feel all the extension cords from the wall to the bulb to make sure no cords are hot or even warm.

that is a really small space to put 3 light bulbs. of course it will be hot in there.

now what really matters: what kind of fans are you using for intake and exhaust?

im guessing pc fans, if so find a model number on them and what you are using for a power source (volt output)

we need pictures of your box and how the intake / exhaust is setup

Hey dude!

I saw your post and wanted to come help because you have the same type of setup as me, except my setup is in a giant entertainment center that is 5 feet wide!

I am going to guess a couple of things, please correct me if I am wrong.

1. The upper fan is the exhaust fan, and the lower one that is leaning towards the plant is intake. Heres why thats not a good idea. You want your intake fan, regardless of where its blowing, to be 100% air sealed in the slot its in pulling air. Otherwise you end up getting a "recycling symbol" action of air which just rotates in a tiny circle barely circulating fresh air. This also goes for the same for the exhaust fan too. The best way to do this, well there are two equal ways.... You cut the hole for the fan, screw the fan in and then caulk the fan edges to create a seal - this takes 24 hours to dry. The other method is to use Gorilla Glue. Shit works wonders and only takes 12 hours to dry, less if done perfectly.

- Once the fans are air tight they will now act as FANS and circulate air rather than just push it around in a small area. The exhaust fan being sealed will ensure that the full potential of the exhaust fan is being used to filter out the hot ass air at the top of the box.

From your pictures, I assume that no intake or exhaust holes have been drilled and that the only way you get fresh air into the box is by taping the fan to the front. Dont do this.

If you dont have a saw, carefully take a serrated knife and try to cut it that way (the walls dont look to be WOODEN so i think you should be fine using the knife method) pls be careful tho I dont wanna be responsible for your missing fingers.

If you dont quite understand what I am saying please PM me, I will send you a quick lil paint diagram of what I am talking about. I am going to go make it real quick right now while im bored ill come back and post it up shortly.

alright thanks ill seal where my fans are
they have there own holes so the air does come in from outside the box and the outtake take it out
i feel like the fans arnt blowing fast enough or enought air because there moving at the same speed but when i close the front flap im guessing that the fans arnt taking air out fast enought so it just keeps getting hotter
as well as its in my closet and sometimes the door is closed so the hot air is getting let into the closet and the intake is taking in that air
i read in a thread someone people talking about ice cooling down air but i couldnt figure out what they were tlking about
do you know anything about this?
