Life span question

When a breeder describes a 70 day life cycle does that mean 70 days from germination to harvest? Or from germ to flower or flower to harvest?

With autoflower's, it usually means 70 days from sprout to finish. In soil medium, longer for coco and hydro. Soil plants will finish much faster than soiless or hydro, they get extended veg time over soil.

All you guys had a different answer hahah
Because I'm sure different breeders do it differently. I know dinafem does it from day 1 to finish. I have found them to be close to stated times, but a safe bet is too budget for at least a week extra.

I have been almost exclusively growing different Dinafem auto's for over a year so I feel pretty confident with them as a breeder and their stated time.
