Damn..... Looks like I will be fighting frost here in New England with these if that is the case. So much for truth in advertising......

Below is a pic of one of my Liberty Hazes from a week or so ago.

Good to hear jga! Thanks for the reinforcement.

Also, FWIW - I received 5 Liberty Haze seeds from Attitude and they all germed easily and were healthy plants

Hey guys. Just registered.

I'm about 5 weeks into the vegetative with the Liberty Haze. Bought feminized from Barney's and all 4 seeds I sprouted are around 3'. All are similar looking, which I expect from feminized seeds
....tend to think feminized are far more stable. Very broad Indica looking leaves with solid branching and no stretching.... let you know how the crop turns out in a couple of months.

Ok... Just finished my first round last month and am on week 7 with two clones....

I am not impressed. The buds were extremely light, airy, and fluffy. Not at all something I would be excited to buy based off looks. Luckily this was for my own personal stash so that's not an issue. Barely had trichomes compared to my other babies.

On the good side, they smelled piney and sexy. The smoke tasted good and the high was average to good. They were extremely late to develop trichs and even when they finished they were few and far between.

I've done many different strains and this one was the worste except for smell and taste.

Exactly the same pheno i had. Reg weed. Rip off waste of time. Not even close to a cup winner. Just ripped two l.s.d hermies out at 17 days. Barneys farm really sucks!!!

I've got Liberty on the way. Unfortunately I didn't see all the negative reviews BEFORE I spent all that money! :wall:

What standards do the powers that be use to judge strains? Why would it win a cup if it was as terrible as everyone says it is?

I guess this is the first and last time I will buy from Barney's. What are some reputable seed companies?

The standard they use to judge cups is "how much are you willing to give me to vote for your strain"?

The Cups are a joke, nothing but a joke. GHS and BF win a lot because of their marketing and gifts, not because of their super shitty strains.

I have just popped two liberty haze and they germed with no problems. Broke ground only after 4 days and are looking good and are similar to each other.

I also have a Barney's Blue Cheese going now and it looks great so far at 4 weeks flowering. Big buds already.

The blue cheese also cloned exceptionally fast. Only 7 days from cutting to roots with coco as the media

So far so good!

Same here...I bought 20 Violator kush for my first Barney order
Big mistake > all 20 were different (mostly sativa pheno's)

2 of the most sativa style turned purple but all of them had weak potency

The more indica types were better flavors but still weak potency and 2 of the indica type hermied 6th wk flower

Indica types finished in 75 days/Sativa types in ~90days

Mostly Sativa phenotypes which doesn't make sense for a mostly indica strain

You can definately get lucky with any pack of seeds though>so don't let my experiences keep you from popping those

I have seen some LH grows and most of them are on the Sativa side of 85-90 days with much better potency than the VK I popped

I just don't trust them anymore when I can buy a 10pack from G13labs/Dinafem/Reserva Privada/DNA and get more than one keeper

I have heard more good than bad things about Barney's Blue Cheese and that probably should've been my first purchase from them

I got free Cheese seeds from G13labs and they all turned out to be killer phenotypes and I kept the shortest growing/highest yielding pheno. from 3 seeds

The only thing that really matters to me is the Quality of the Final Product
Remember: Looks can be deceiving...

I've had beautiful "bag appeal" Indica Violator Kush buds that tasted like str8 Muskyness which reminds me of the smell of stinking feet with a very weak potency considering they claim to have 25% THC and the 9 wk. flowering time both hard for me to believe after running 20 ceeds > Earliest finished in 75 days(indica types) Longest finished 90-95 days(sativa types)

Really wasted 4-5 months of my life on that crap > which wouldn't have been a waste if I found even 1 good phenotype...

I don't even know how much I spent on that grow but they had just come out with Violator Kush when I purchased them...
I even see some good reports on RIU of the Violator which kinda pisses me off that I didn't find one decent pheno. out of 20

I grew out 5 Violator Kush last season outdoors. Compared to the other strains I had going (including Liberty Haze) it was very slow maturing and I lost 90% of all plants to mold. The few buds I were able to salvage were nothing special..... YMMV
