Letting the bud flower?

I've asked this question to a few of my friends when we have been smoking the herb and I wonder if anyone can answer it.

Basically, we smoke bud, or the flower if you will, but before it opens up.
What does the flower look like if instead of harvesting your females, you left them?
Kind of like a rose, becomes a rose.

excuse the newbiness of this question, but as you all know, stoners are naturaly inquisative.

come to think of it
it would do the same this as, lets say a morning glory plant
morning glory produces flowers all thoughout there life, then when a new season comes on the flowers die, and then seedpods form to keep the species going next spring

so basically
all that would happen is it would eventually die
the seeds would fall into the soil
and a new plant grows next spring

i assume its somewhere around there

not to steal the thread or anything but right now that im reading this , do you guys wonder if theres any other plant in the world with perhaps same effect or stronger than bud?

their are many... peyote, morning glory seed, salvia, just a few of many take google for a test drive im sure you will find plenty

the bud you are smoking is the same shit thats on the plant after another month, the flowers aren't "Flowers" in the FTD sense, more like herbs, they never "Open up".

because salvia is more like a 10 minute head trip.
good fun, especially if you bong it, but compared to pot, its like drinking light beer instead of the real stuff.
as for growable hallucinagenics (fuck if i spelt that right im wired) shrooms are the best.

I had quite an experience with salvia... Almost scary, but it was still sweet. Unfortunate thing about salvia is that it is really expensive(for the good stuff) and only lasts like 10 minutes(idk if i could handle it for more than that though). You do get really really high and laugh like crazy... atleast that was my experience with it. I got paranoid and thought my friends were laughing at me uncontrollably and i didnt know why... So i just started laughing.

what strength did you have?
i had 40x cost me like £15 (like $25-$30). me and my friend were trying to blag the clerk in the shop to selling us the 60x but she found out we'd never done salvia before and said it was too strong for us.
We piped it on this huuuuge field, ontop of this little hill we found.
I was like "this hill is our ship man, and everywhere else is the sea!" because we were raised like 10ft of the ground, and the field was covered in this white grass stuff, that with the wind looked like the sea.
Salvia is good, but not worth the money, considering the effects and how long it lasts, its better getting a quart of hash, or get an extra £5 and get an eighth of skunk

I used XXX which i think is equal to 60x and it was my first time. One of my friends thought God picked him up. It was like $40 for a gram. So much fun... shame its so expensive. Is it possible to grow salvia?

yeah it is possible to grow salvia.
I don't know much about it, but if you search on youtube, there are definetly videos on how to grow it, because I stumbled across them whilst search for cannabis grow videos.
