lets talk stalk

I used a small metal wall hook as a low stress trainer in the first few weeks, it worked great. But then I forgot about it because its covered in the soil and now that my baby is all grown up, and her stalk overgrew the size of the hook. So, do I take it off and hope for speedy recovery, or any recovery really.. or do I just let her finish..

mind you this is a Rhino Ryder autoflower on week 9 and probably have another 4 of the most important weeks to go.

hmm doesn't look so bad doubt it should be an issue health wise or Mary, not positive though never had a that prob. but I wouldn't mess with it seems risky

It'll do more harm to rip it off the stalk. You risk infection and any serious change in environment is going to stress her out. Let her finish, the stem isn't going to get much bigger in 4 weeks, and if it does it'll do just fine growing around it. Nature's pretty good about adapting.

ive done the same before, if u can get it off with wirecutters do it, because it will stop it from growing outward and slowly strangle the plant.
it wont kill the plant but you wont get the same results as if it wasnt there, even if it only is a tiny difference.
you wont kill the plant by cutting into it a tiny bit ive split my mains from the stems before almost completely and they always bounce back.
That being said i also use my A+B nutrients and a few additives to keep the plants strong and etc so perhaps that helps my cause.
