How are you without representation now but you apparently still had some then? Bush got that bill through a Republican controlled house!

Again, no tea parties. No Glenn Beck and Fox News organized marches on Washington. No Rush Limbaugh moaning on the radio about SOCIALISM. None of that yet Im supposed to believe from the conservative media and all the fair weather conservatives who turned a blind eye that what we are seeing now isn't more party over principle even when they claim to be disenchanted with Republicans too. Just too hard to believe.

With all due respect ... The error you're making is that you are assuming that the Republicans are conservatives. Barry Goldwater was a conservative. Ronald Reagan was a conservative. Who in the Republican Party today is equal to those two guys in conservatism??

ok, i will stop calling you guys conservatives and start calling you Republicans. The fact is there was none of the bitching and outrage then that you are seeing now. So you are right, all the tea party people and talk radio must just be Republican sympathizers and not actual conservatives.

I wont get into Barry Goldwater because I havent studied him very much. But Reagan was no better than any other Republican. Under Reagan the federal government grew larger than it has for any Democratic president since. Reagan expanded this war on drugs. He agreed to the $165 Biliion dollar bailout of Social Security. Reagan RAISED corporate taxes. Reagan expanded the earned income tax credit. The list goes on and im sure we agree this wasn't "conservative" actions. But Republicans had and still have their messiahs image to think about.

There was bitching, but none from the big media stars. The little radio personalities throughout the middle of this country were speaking out. As far as the representation, it sounds like you are assuming I am a Republican and that I only "bitch" about one party. I am not, and I do not. All politicians are the problem now and we have essentially a one party system any more. THAT is what I am talking about. I am not registered with either of half of that single party and my vote seems to simply be cast away. My conscience is clean though, so upon my last breath I will know I was at least attempting to do the right thing.

Im not gonna question anybodies integrity. Well actually there are a few on here who's integrity i would without a doubt question. But if you say that you stick by your principles regardless of party I will take your word for it. We will see soon enough. After such such one sided wins like were had in 08, the opposing party typically does well the next time around.
