Lets talk about growing in 5 gal bags/buckets/containers

any likes or dislikes, and why?

i like #5: it works perfectly for what i want to grow. after harvest, i always inspect the root ball and none were ever root bound. also, if necessary, i can
move them quickly. GL

how often do ou have to water Po boy?

I like. but i am crunched for space. bigger pots = bigger plants

do you flush or just water at the end of the flowering cycle Rambo3000?

I never really liked grow bags...I use 5 gal. Nursery Potts... Easier to move around easier to manage in general .

I have 2 plants, in 5 gal. pots, and I like the portability of them, yet have plenty of room (so far) for the roots, though the plants themselves are only 4' tall.
I have drilled holes in the sides of them to kinda experiment and I could definitely tell a difference when I did it, I went from watering about once every 7-9 days, to every 5-6 days.

Im using 5gal lowes buckets that used to be on a ebb n flow so holes are bigger than a quarter. Within a week after transplanting from 2 gal the roots came out hole and wrapped around outside of bucket lol. Hole is at complete bottom of bucket also. I know wasnt root bound but there is deffinetly diff from 2gal and 5 gal.

I've grown in 5 gallon buckets several times. they worked good for 4 to 5 foot plants. plenty of room for roots. when they were in flower they needed water about every 3 days. Ive since downsized to 8 inch pots. Uses less dirt, just grow more plants to get the same yield. but the big plants are fun. I had a sativa dom triple in size and had to move it in front of the lights in stead of under.

I use 5 gallon grow bags with coco and love them. 4 plants per 600 hps.

3 gallon is just too small for my style. Going beyond 5 is just not necessary.

8 - 5 gallon grow bags with tomato cages under 1200 watts. intense lst.

At wk 5 of flower, they are needing watered once ever 3 days. Large plants though.

Grow bags just make for easy disposal. At .30$ each, they are disposable.

I grow in 5 gal grow bags and not sure I'm fond of them. Definetly less watering. In fact I worry about my smoke when she is done. I flushed at 2 weeks and only have been able to water once since.

I like 5 for me. 3 bound up at the end last run. Trying 5 gallon dirtbags this run..so far so good.

during spring and early summer when the weather is mostly dry, i have to water every day. during rain or cool weather it may be once a week. it depends on heat, sunlight, humidity and density of soil. GL
