Seems to work fine. I like it.
Don't need to cut & hang anything.
Doesn't drain the crap from the stalk into the buds that you were flushing to clean for 2 weeks.
Doesn't knock the trichs off with undue trim handling.
Conveinant holder while trimming.
Airated / air flow (reduces mold)
Dries faster and I think more evenly.
Scraped bare branches seem to act like a whic and helps draw moisture out of the bud from the inside (still, not as fast as the outside - different type of "feel" for done in comparison).
You can scrape the branches with done buds and let the others carry-on.

Only drawback,,, in dry areas it tends to dry a bit too fast with usual means. Keep air flow minimal, very light circulation seems to work best. The whicking action really draws out the moisture fast. Needs different control and watching. But, I try to stretch it 7+ days if I can keep it even.
I live in a very high humidity area. Mold on everything is a give if it starts. I've never had another mold issue since going this way. BUT, you gotta watch it. Totally different "done" feel.
A little trick that seems to go well,, when you think it's dry, stick a hydrometer between the branches and cover with a trash bag and close tightly on the bottom. Reading wont be dead on, but close enough to start a good cure.

I like it, works for me.

Whew! sorry for being so danged long winded.

I started mine when she showed her sex (day 20). If you read through the post, you will see I tried using twist ties, but she kept pulling free, so I used some pretty stiff wire anchored into the wall of her net pot. There were two wires at first, the one pictured, and another down at the lowest bend going to the opposite side of the pot to keep her upright. I removed this wire once the bend had established itself. I took my time and moved her a little each day over a week until she was horizontal. When she started forming buds, I left the wire where it was and let her grow.

LOL, I think you see the "hand writting on the wall" sorta speak.
When these are done, they should be solid bud from tip to ground. (If things go along to plan)

Last post in jounal was today, 36 days from raw bean.

Admittedly, it's a long slow process, but the results may be,,,, interesting(?).

Don't believe in tying tops.

Thanks.

Errr, don't know about a good answer on time. Total will be around 5-6 mos. The sativa takes 12-14 weeks to flower and a couple more mos. to machure in veg. Pretty much the same time no matter. I guess)
This is not going to be a typical pretty, leafy plant ever.
I'm vegging to "set the stage". Most of the growth willbe in early flower. Right now I'm just setting the playing field. Getting close.
