Let's see how Sea of Seeds and Vancouver Seed Bank do.

I am new to this site, I found it after searching for seedbank reviews and saw that seaofseeds.com(SoS, Uk) and vancouverseedbank.ca(VSB, CAN,) had the best reviews with the fewest negative reviews, in fact I couldn't find any negative reviews that weren't eventually taken care of by those banks customer service. So I'm gonna put them to the test. I placed an order with SoS on Tuesday 3/12/13 and just placed an order with VSB tonight Thursday 3/14/13, it actually went through northcountryseeds.com bc I used a cc but it is still VSB. I live in Canada on the East Coast. I will keep you updated on everything from germination, female ratio, strain, yield and quality. Keep in mind that I am a novice, I have only grown outdoors twice and that is what I will be doing this season. I have still not recieved any confirmation email or tracking # from Sos, I emailed customer service about it tonight. VSB sent an automatic confirmation email. I used the Stealth shipping option with Sos and I hope to get the breeds I ordered even though they will be removed from their original packs. I only spent a hundred bucks at each site so I am not too concerned about getting ripped, I just really want to find some quality seedbanks who do good business and give you what you pay for, so if these banks don't come through I will try 2 more and see what happens. VSB's prices are almost twice of SoS and they have nowhere near the selection, but I don't have to worry about customs, plus they have an actual retail location and this is how I grew before, Blueberry Fem and they turned out beautiful, shop closed down so I'm turning to online seedbanks. I got 10 regular seeds of each strain bc I want to breed them for next year. If these come in I will get a bunch of autoflower fems and see if there's any worthwile out there.

Ok so I did get a response from SoS this morning and a couple hours later another email confirming that it had been dispatched with tracking #. It's the busiest time of the year so that's understandable that it took a few days.

Did two orders with Sea of Seeds. One in breeders packs, one without, just to check difference in shipping.
14 days to Upper midwest US. Super happy with Sea of Seeds, awesome freebies. Have always used Attitude before with no problems,
but wanted to try out different seedbanks. Had an order with Herbies ready to go, then went to Sea of Seeds to compare prices. Sea of Seeds freebies
don't show up until you add item to cart. Once I put item in cart and seen freebies, I made two orders. Sorry Herbies!2013-03-15 13.16.17.jpg Indoor Mix in the top middle was taken out of breeders pack.

Ya I'm a little worried about the stealth option to, I think next time I'll take my chances and just get them sent in the original packaging. Just curious, what other companies have you used.

All were better than SOS. And more importantly all of these companys bagged and tagged each strain, seems like a no brainer. BTW here's the email that SOS sent in responce....

"We are sorry you mixed them up but if you were having problems removing them we would of told you how to do it carefully you can't blame us for this. We have been sending like this for a while now with a high success rate"

LOL are you serious? Was that little piece of cardboard too smart for you? lol Each row was clearly labeled right? I've ordered twice from them and twice from Attitude. While I agree that there was some value in the convenience of having them individually bagged, you can't deny SOS stealth is superior. Not trying to be a dick but the "freebees" are in fact not "all mixed up" and don't want anybody reading this to get the wrong idea and be hesitant to place an order.

The bottom line, they didn't separate and bag the different strains, simple. There was no indication, description or instructions when ordering stating the beans were loose. Had there been i would have picked a different method.

People can make up their own minds on who they do business with.

My experience with Sea of Seeds was very good and I shall be using them again. I've had contact with them and was given adequate responses, but I've also had queries about certain strains that weren't listed, and they've listed them with in 3 days and a response letting me know they've been listed. It's very good from a business point of view, very professional.

I received my items in good shape too, I like the little vials they use for the freebies and I didn't use stealth option, so my seeds came in a DVD case which was wrapped up in bubble wrap so it was almost the size of a rugby ball or american football, I think it was delivered before the time they stated also which wasn't a problem for me because someone is usually in the house.

No, bottom line is you went with stealth. A bunch of labeled baggies isn't very stealthy now is it?
And it would have took two minutes on Google to find out what the stealth option is, I know, I timed my girlfriend, who doesn't know shit about ordering seeds, to find out what the stealth
option was.

Ok so I'm pretty pumped, both packages arrived today and all the seeds are there, they all look like nice viable seeds, the Dankini Kush and the Jumbo Grizzly are huge round seeds, I'm a little curious about the Emerald Wonder, there are 8 smaller green seeds and then these two huge tiger striped seeds that I'm pretty sure are a different strain, but we'll see. You can tell that all of the seeds that were seperate are each their own strain, the Blue Mystic and Emerald Wonder are pretty small, the Purple Widows are bigger, they are all pretty uniform so I'm confident they are all seperate strains, which is good bc I plan on breeding some of them and want to be able to grow them in seperate patches. Ya I gotta agree there is nothing wrong with the stealth packaging, they did say that they would be removed from the original packaging, at least they were all labeled, let's just hope they are the strains I ordered, I will keep you updated on the grow. I also got the five freebies from SoS, and I actually got 12 of the Dankini and Widow, guess I missed that on the site. Really not bad at all, 9 days from UK and 7 days from Vancouver, pretty happy right now, but I will wait until I'm done germinating before I place my second orders.

So I used the paper towel method and germed 10 Jumbo Grizzlies and 10 Purple Widow, 2 of the Widow seeds have not hatched, I'm gonna put them in soil and hope for the best, still that's not bad and I'm pretty happy with them, 3 widows and 4 grizzlies have sprouted. I am beginning to think that the Emerald Wonder may be a bit immature, and that the two huge seeds are the only fully mature ones, which would be quite a negative for VSB, we'll see how they do. I don't want to bite off more than I can chew so I'm just gonna stick with what I've got for now.
