Afternoon RIU,
My basement is large, but the spot I'd like to use is 20L X 15 W. There is already half a partition frame built from the old home owner, and two windows. Unfortunately, the sump pump is over there. I should probably leave that on the outside, LOL.
My two goals are 1) Not to spend a ridiclous amount of money. I don't have that. 2) Make something that is, or at least can become (is a work is progress) an actual room. Meaning if someone comes into my basement, like the oil or propane guy, it looks like a big old storage closet. 3) My veg setup needs to be in there also.
Okay so thats it. 20 x 15, pretty big. What kind of lumber do I need for this? 2x4 is a must, but I don't know spacing or anything. I would like to use the cheapest sheeting.
Then I need electrical. About how much for wiring, recepticales, etc. It's only about a 15 ft run, call it 20 for the estimate.
I'm going to be running a 600W HPS at first. So I've got to grab a current price on a reflector, ballast, hanger, etc.
Reccomendations on sizes of exhaust and intake are appreciated. It will be a large room without much going on, but I'm sure I will need something.
I have a 12,000 BTU portable air conditioner that can cirrculate air and cool. It dehumidfies (but spits out room temp air instead of hot, it exhausts that) and it heats at 11,000 BTU as well.
I have some other randoms too, fans, buckets, a full CFL setup for veg.
Help for this rookie is greatly appreciated. I'm trying to come up with a parts list, other than 600W hps, intake/exhaust. Plus some sort of number, including building the actual room. My wife has me on a strict budget!!
Thank you all,
Bud
