Let Them Eat Tofu!

Even right-wingers who know that "global warming" is a crock do not seem to grasp what the tree-huggers are demanding. Liberals want mass starvation and human devastation.

Forget the lunacy of people claiming to tell us the precise temperature of planet Earth in 1918 based on tree rings. Or the fact that in the '70s liberals were issuing similarly dire warnings about "global cooling."

Simply consider what noted climatologists Al Gore and Melissa Etheridge are demanding that we do to combat their nutty conjectures about "global warming." They want us to starve the productive sector of fossil fuel and allow the world's factories to grind to a halt. This means an end to material growth and a cataclysmic reduction in wealth.

There are more reputable scientists defending astrology than defending "global warming," but liberals simply announce that the debate has been resolved in their favor and demand that we shut down all production.

They think they can live in a world of only Malibu and East Hampton -- with no Trentons or Detroits. It does not occur to them that someone has to manufacture the tiles and steel and glass and solar panels that go into those "eco-friendly" mansions, and someone has to truck it all to their beachfront properties, and someone else has to transport all the workers there to build it. (And then someone has to drive the fleets of trucks delivering the pachysandra and bottled water every day.)

Liberals are already comfortably ensconced in their beachfront estates, which they expect to be unaffected by their negative growth prescriptions for the rest of us.

There was more energy consumed in the manufacture, construction and maintenance of Leonardo DiCaprio's Malibu home than is needed to light the entire city of Albuquerque, where there are surely several men who can actually act. But he has solar panels to warm his house six degrees on chilly Malibu nights.

Liberals haven't the foggiest idea how the industrial world works. They act as if America could reduce its vast energy consumption by using fluorescent bulbs and driving hybrid cars rather than SUVs. They have no idea how light miraculously appears when they flick a switch or what allows them to go to the bathroom indoors in winter -- luxuries Americans are not likely to abandon because Leo DiCaprio had solar panels trucked into his Malibu estate.

Our lives depend on fossil fuel. Steel plants, chemical plants, rubber plants, pharmaceutical plants, glass plants, paper plants -- those run on energy. There are no Mother Earth nursery designs in stylish organic cotton without gas-belching factories, ships and trucks, and temperature-controlled, well-lighted stores. Windmills can't even produce enough energy to manufacture a windmill.

Because of the industrialization of agriculture -- using massive amounts of fossil fuel -- only 2 percent of Americans work in farming. And yet they produce enough food to feed all 300 million Americans, with plenty left over for export. When are liberals going to break the news to their friends in Darfur that they all have to starve to death to save the planet?

"Global warming" is the left's pagan rage against mankind. If we can't produce industrial waste, then we can't produce. Some of us -- not the ones with mansions in Malibu and Nashville is my guess -- are going to have to die. To say we need to reduce our energy consumption is like saying we need to reduce our oxygen consumption.

Liberals have always had a thing about eliminating humans. Stalin wanted to eliminate the kulaks and Ukranians, vegetarian atheist Adolf Hitler wanted to eliminate the Jews, Planned Parenthood founder Margaret Sanger wanted to eliminate poor blacks, DDT opponent Rachel Carson wanted to eliminate Africans (introduction to her book "Silent Spring" written by ... Al Gore!), and population-control guru Paul Ehrlich wants to eliminate all humans.

But global warming is the most insane, psychotic idea liberals have ever concocted to kill off "useless eaters." If we have to live in a pure "natural" environment like the Indians, then our entire transcontinental nation can only support about 1 million human beings. Sorry, fellas -- 299 million of you are going to have to go.

Proving that the "global warming" campaign is nothing but hatred of humanity, these are the exact same people who destroyed the nuclear power industry in this country 30 years ago.

If we accept for purposes of argument their claim that the only way the human race can survive is with clean energy that doesn't emit carbon dioxide, environmentalists waited until they had safely destroyed the nuclear power industry to tell us that. This proves they never intended for us to survive.

"Global warming" is the liberal's stalking horse for their ultimate fantasy: The whole U.S. will look like Amagansett, with no one living in it except their even-tempered maids (for "diversity"), themselves and their coterie (all, presumably, living in solar-heated mansions, except the maids who will do without electricity altogether). The entire fuel-guzzling, tacky, beer-drinking, NASCAR-watching middle class with their over-large families will simply have to die.

It seems not to have occurred to the jet set that when California is as poor as Mexico, they might have trouble finding a maid. Without trucking, packaging, manufacturing, shipping and refrigeration in their Bel-Air fantasy world, they'll be chasing the rear-end of an animal every time their stomachs growl and killing small animals for pelts to keep their genitals warm.

Global Warming is accepted by nearly everyone... from a wide agreement in the Scientific community (through peer-reviewed publications and the IPCC) to a building consensus in the business community. Did you know that...

Hank Paulson, the US Treasury Secretary (and former CEO of Goldman Sachs) firmly understands the threat of Global Warming and thinks we should be doing something about it.

Paul Wolfowitz, President of the World Bank, is working to ensure that the World Bank takes climate concerns into account in their development projects.

Richard Branson is putting considerable effort (money) into revamping his Virgin empire to produce and use fuels that have less Global Warming impact.

President Bush acknowledged "global climate change" in his State of the Union speech and described some things we should be doing about it.

Recently a group called the US Climate Action Partnership was launched. It consists of some of America's largest companies from all sectors. (Including DuPont, GE, BP, and PG&E)

Yet somehow, Michael Crichton (a science fiction writer) does not carry as much weight as George Bush (the President) or a VP of ExxonMobile (a major Greenhouse Gas producer).

Its true. Even Exxon Mobil has publicly acknowledged Global Warming as real, and as a human caused challenge that we must do something about. From a recent Houston Chronicle article...

Big Oil behemoth Exxon Mobil Corp. has dropped any pretense of questioning whether global warming is real. Now the company is seeking to position itself as an active player in efforts to lower greenhouse gases.

"The appropriate debate isn't on whether climate is changing, but rather should be on what we should be doing about it," Kenneth Cohen, Exxon's vice president of public affairs, told reporters on a conference call Thursday.

This is very simple ,even for the left out there. Man has no control over the wind, rain, change of season, tornados, hurricains, (of course there was Bushes weather machine, that created Katrina to destroy New Orleans) but that\\\\\\\'s hearsay...right. Men that are so arragent, as to think they can control the world\\\\\\\'s climate and it\\\\\\\'s weather.....mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, sounds fishy to me. Now I know that there is such a thing as cloud seeding, but there are still certain conditions that have to be right for this to work. And the statement that everybody believe this crap, is also, just plain wrong. I will find u just as many sceintist that say man made \\\\"Global Warming\\\\" does not exist. Demonize people that don\\\\\\\'t agree with this crap.....right? If I don\\\\\\\'t belive in it, then I must not care about the enviroment right? \\\\"WRONG\\\\" These people are nothing but a bunch of elites, full of lies and propaganda.

Its true that there is a general consensus on climate change. What is NOT agreed upon is the cause ... other than normal weather cycles.

Yes, and change is good.....Without change, it becomes stagnate. What do you know of, in mother nature that stays the same?

I agree, let's all increase carbon monoxide emissions and suffocate to death, or burn to death(we deserve it anyways). rather than have ''the evil liberal's plot'' eliminate us with theyre devilish schemes. Oh I forgot, only god controls the natural elements... maybe we should stop behaving as gods then...

I love it when the left will give us a date, that it all will go to shit on us. So when is the end of the world again? This was tried in the 70\\\\\\\'s with GLOBAL COOLING..... and that stuff about OVER POPULATION, then it\'s was proclaimed by the left that in a mear 10 years, that GLOBAL COOLING was gonna cause famine and everybody was gonna starve. Funny now we have a nation of fat people. The left was wrong then, and is wrong now. Algore, not too long ago said, we will depleate all the fish out of the ocean by 2050......LOL.......WTF does Algore know. The earth is covered by 2/3 water. This is all some bullshit that the left wants you to believe, so that you will elect them, and they can somhow fix the worlds problems...... BULLSHIT! Propaganda! Where is common sense gone?</p>

HAHAHAHA dude, your cracking me up ...actually it's not the left, it's the mayans. 2012 marks the beginning of a new cycle in the mayan calendar, which is based on the movement of planets and they're revolution around the sun, this date marks the beginning either of the downfall of mankind or of a new uprise
. It was supposed to be a humorous reference. Ha ! that's your problem folks, everything that doesn't sound right it's let's blame the ''left'', or it's all those nasty ''liberals'', well heres news for you, the ''left'' no longer exists in the traditional sense of the word, left right center, it's all the same bureaucracy that runs your war mongering country, but hey, that's a means of survival isn't it? I saw Gore's movie, it sucks. primarily because it's objective is flawed, what is the point of scaring people off with this fashion of global warming anyways? No real progress will be achieved in that way. Global Warming is a natural process.. My reference to 2012 was not purely factual, it's real meaning is :let's wait and see, if global warming has really been accelerated by human C02, 03& C0 emissions, it won't take much time to realize it. Why take positions when I can tell none of us are scientists and have studied the question in depth?

I'm sorry to say, you sound as dumb as Al Gore there, no offence my friend, what do you know about the oceans? You don't even seem to aknowledge The FACT that fish need more than just H20 to survive, just as we need more than ourselves to make it. animal life is based on a little thing called a food chain, I advise you to take a 10th grade schoolbook and learn a little about it before you come up with arguments that make you seem ignorant(which im sure you are not). That being said, I understand scepticism on the issue, global warming is undergoing a hype at the moment, but, i'm afraid some things are proved facts, large amounts of Co2 in the air, mercury in the sea, are not good in the long run, and some kind of solutions will have to be found, eventually. An interesting theory is that of Natural Capitalism, some books out there prove to be a good and interesting read, I don't trust politicians, or the media on these issues, as they can be misleading and falacious.

Oh Yeah? Well what do the Mayans know? If they knew anything at all, they wouldn't have sacrificed their virgins, and they would already have had a vaccine to ward off Small Pox prior to being infected by those leftist Spaniards who wiped out the Mayan population with the disease.

PS: Just pulling your leg, mate. :)

Call me what you will, but last time I checked, I was at top of the little thing called the food chain. I live on the ocean.........thanks. Spent a good part of my life offshore in a boat fishing for a living. Its all you can do in a small fishing town,on the Gulf Of Mexico. I have seen the affects of commercial fishing, and the effects of pollution, and runoff from roads and such. You simply need to be educated........The fish population is booming in my end of the world, I can\\\'t catch a legal redfish anymore, there all over the slot limit. In the U.S. we have been regulated to death, the commercial guys and the recreational guys, so the fish population has blew up. Why don\\\'t you tell me of these FACTS that fish need other than H2O? Bait? My hook in their mouth? Little butter, little garlic. I choose not to eat Spanish or King Mackerel becuase of the mercury levels. FYI...The mercury levels are higher in some species of fish than others.... I am allready looking foward to Cobia season this year, the water temp needs to be about 67f, then they should start to migrate toward the west. Thats a good eating fish(Cobia). Just letting you know, becuase you will never get the opportunity to enjoy fish, they will all be gone in your world.
Until you spend some time on or around the ocean...then you have no clue. Go offshore fishing! you might enjoy it, instead of a bunch of insults and name calling..............................................................................................................................................................Indie.

Indie... I did not mean to insult you with my comments, i am sorry. I do not wish to discuss fish and the delights of eating it, and fishing which i share with you. I just wanted to underline the fact that using loose arguments is no basis for debate. Btw i find your personal experience quite interesting yet it is far from educating me. I have lived near the carribean for a long time, and have seen the effects of water warming on the coral reef, bleached and destroyed, I have participated in many activities of counting species numbers in the reef and have seen many species such as red and yellow snapper thrive aswell as rainbow and queen parrotfish. This is not due to better conditions but to disbalances in the reefs ecosystem, which is rapidly changing (naturally or by humans, that is the whole point of the debate between scientists, I think both play a part) . Another thought: You are not on top of the food chain, humans are now considered as separate from the food chain, due to thousands of years of society, technology And mayan encounters with extraterrestrials:mrgreen:

Again i apologize for any rudeness that you may have sensed,
have a nice day.:joint::peace:

no one is saying we don't need to keep the planet clean. there is, however, no sense in turning our futures over to politicians scantily clad in biased "research" who want to dictate our energy options to us then tax accordingly... no sense at all.

OK, here's a question for all of youse guyz ... I have some very old hydro nutes that I want to get rid of. Probably several gallons all together. What's the best way, considering stealth, to get rid of them? Flush down the toilet? Pour down the kitchen sink? Throw them away, bottles and all, in a commercial dumpster behind the liquor store? What, pray tell should I do???
