Lemon Skunk

Hey Young bud, they look good and healthy!! What is your setup? I would agree with you on these ladies its a fantastic strain. I am 1.5 weeks into veg on new crop but from seed this time. I forgot how strong this varietal is!. Seeds popped in 24hrs i left them in water in the dark for 2 days and they were over 1.5 inches.. a bit of a panic as they were yellow and leggy, but gor em straight under the light and they were off. For 10 seeds (fem) cost me 35 quid one of the best £35 i have ever spent. Just come back from a weekend away and they are going nuts. cant wait til i flick them over to flower as this time i have gone with canna boost also, soon as i flick over i will start the boost feed, aparently well wait and see) the boost kicks them into flower straight away so no messing and waiting for the cycle to take effect, which in turn gives you more time in bud \To go with the new boost i am using big bud so hopefully we might see some real heavy buuds. still smoking the last crop and to be honest it nails me if im not active. People will rip your arms off to smoke this strain. The only down side i can mention is that they can get a bit leggy due to the citral in them but if lights are kept low and a bit of bending its fine. Also this time hopefully i will get a bit more of the citral taste as there could have been more last time. I am starting to obsess over this strain.. a real joy to watch n smoke!

i am also just over a week with this strain under a 400 mh but it seems to be a slow starter in my op what do u think do u have pics?

I just picked up 6 Lemon "G" clones last night. Oh oh oh yeah....

They are looking healthy m8 what size tent have you got?

Got my new beans to get going today Afghan Kush x Black Domina wanted a straight Black Domina but didnt like the bud formation.. like golf balls. This strain on paper ticks all the boxes so heres hoping.

hey youngbud, forgive me if you've already said, but where are you getting your lemon skunk seeds from? Just curious, I know there's lots of choices. I've only ordered seeds once so far, from Amsterdam Marijuana Seeds.

Hey Tet I got mine from Greenhouse seeds. Single seeds (pick n mix) do most companys and worth a look at if you only the odd seed here and there and they are UK based.

Hey Tet, if poss see if you can get cuttings from a mother. I have just gone from seed this time (last time from clone) and there is a large pheno variation one plant is a good 6 inches diference in height. I know if space is an issue it might be worth thinking about At least with clones from the same mother you will get a regimental height over them all, also bear in mind they will stretch a little due to the Citral genetics. I switch as a generall rule between 10 inches & 12, this time i left till around 14 inches and its made a hell of a difference, just have to keep on bending.

Tompar, I take it then that you are doing scrog? I am thinking about trying that real soon. At the moment though, I veg in the basement then move to a spare bedroom I have set up for bud. I do this so that height is not an issue. I veg real big, like 30 inches, and then don't care how big they get upstairs. I am still only averaging about 2 zips per plant though, so I think scrog is my next move.

No m8 no scrog, but i wish i had the room to grow full height! I have a tiny cupboard so lots of thinning and bending is required but i do well out of it 2 zips? (oz)? What lights are you using? and are you hydro or soil?

Yeah, 2 oz. I am 600W MH for veg, 600W HPS for bud, using soil. I follow the entire Foxfarm feeding schedule, including the micro nutrients.

I concur with you on that. Lemon Skunk is for sure a great strain. The smell is just wonderful, but very very skunky and thick smelling. Very potent smell and taste too. It's not for the beginner smoker IMO.

In fact, 5 years ago.. when I first started to actually use my 'green thumb', one of the first strains I grew was actually 'Lemon Skunk' from DNA Genetics. I had a few problems with the strain in the beginning.. but i think it was due to the fact that I was fairly new to the growing scene and didn't have very much "hands on" experience at the time. My last 2 beans grew out to be amazing. They were very healthy and vibrant young ladies... and once flowering hit.. they took off at a good pace. If I remember correctly.. I gave both plants 9 weeks of flowering before I harvested them.

I screwed the entire harvest from one of the plants... but learned what I was doing wrong, and took that knowledge with me for the second plant. I didn't know how exactly to properly dry and cure my harvest, and that's what screwed up the first plants harvest.. but before I harvested the second plant.. I made sure I knew how to properly and correctly dry and cure my harvest. It made a huge difference..

Being that it was pretty much my first "actual" grow and harvest, I was proud of myself and what I had accomplished... even if I did mess up the first entire harvest from my first plant. I actually learn better with hands on experience.. than I do with just reading.

Anyhow, I'm stoned and rambling again.. just wanted to share my experience with this particular strain.

+BTW - Your ladies are looking good so far YoungBud and Tempar or whatever your name is.. keep doing what your doing and your ladies will greatly reward you when harvest time comes around.

That seems a small ammount m8 tbh you need to work out the cost of electricity etc against veg / flower time. I hope im not teaching you suck eggs. I achieved just under 10 oz from 3 plants flowered at 12" 1.5 weeks veg 7/8 flowering. I use a small G25 nft tank and canna nutes all the way under a 250 mh for veg and a 400 hps grow lux for veg. how many plants are you growing each grow? I only ask as a grower i know has 6 under 6oow hps in 2 large NFT tanks, he vegges for 4 weeks and he gets around 6.6 oz per plant. It might be worth investing in a dripper system or an NFT Let me know m8.

Love this thread here.! I have my lemon skunk from gh in flower too. only at 1 week though. Ill tell you what though, she is stretching like f'n crazy in this past week !!! it's unreal !. She is really turning into a monster bush. Same as my S.A.D. s1. vegged them both for about 6 weeks in dwc so hopefully I pull a good 6 oz dried when its all said and done. Can't wait !

hi. i just ordered 5 fem lemon skunk last night, from greenhouse. i am hoping it wont get too. tall. my other plants top out at like 32-37". at what height should i move em into flower, in order to keep with this height??

i am 5 days into flowering on my greenhouse fem lemon skunk and they are already 2 ft all 4 of them...............cant wait until i harvest, using coco pro plus soil in 10 ltr pots along with coco nutes, cannazyme and just started with canna boost 2day, I will use pk 13/14 in another 2 to 3 weeks, this is my 1st grow under 400 watt mh/hps power plant with rvk 5 inch extraction fan
