You're not prepared to grow pot. You need to research more and have a solid security plan in place. If you are relying on other plants to mask the considerable odor of a grow, you're already robbed or arrested, you just don't know it yet. Leaving a window open while fans, etc. are running inside is incredibly obvious, especially in the winter. Get your shit together and come back to it when you are prepared to mitigate as many risks as possible so that you can grow safely and securely. Judging by what you've said here, you are on a short path to a serious problem.

You couldve got your point across much differently. I never said I dont have a carbon filter, its Phresh brand and works great. I just enjoy growing and thought why not have some really good pungent smelling plants. Truly not trying to argue with you, just unnecessary to tell me im not prepared. Thanks for replying tho..

My apologies for misunderstanding and if I came across as negative, then. It was posted out of concern for your safety and nothing more. Looking back at the post, it was a bit negative.

Rosemary might be worth looking into as the oils are some of the most pungent smelling you'll find in a kitchen herb, and basil is a great practice plant for cannabis as you can test your topping/training methods and it grows very similarly to pot.


Please reconsider leaving a window open particularly if that window is visible from the exterior of the building. There are very few reasons for someone to have a window open in the winter time and if you're in an area where cannabis is legal/medical or there are a lot of indoor grows, I promise you that people are going to notice.

Are you saying having a window open will lead to bugs? From like late nov to march im ok where I live but will have to invest in a small ac. Live in a pretty cold area so its kind of nice.


The main reason I have the window cracked (it has a fabric sheet ment for windows covering it) is I dont have another fresh air source without cutting a hole in my wall
