Legal Oregon Grow SCROG Master Kush + Nirvana Freebies

Hello everyone, id like to say welcome to my first grow, but.... I grew for my parents about 6 years ago so that would be a lie, now back then I pretty much didnt know wtf I was doing and had a dirty/unsanitary room and at was only pulling 100-200 grams with 6 plants off a brand new 1000 watt HPS, proper ventilation,organic soil and expensive top of the line nutrients. I didnt know anything about ph levels and I have no clue what my ph was EVER, I never cleaned my grow rooms aside from a sweep between crops, I didnt know anything about nutrient lock, Im sure I had light leaks at times and I probably over/underwatered etc..

SOOO in short, Welcome to my first "proper" grow =) It wont be as large as my last grows, I will be abiding by Oregon law (which will hopefully be tweaked soon) Oregon allows 4 plants maximum AT ALL STAGES OF GROWTH! meaning clones and seedlings count (I think you can see where this needs tweaking)

I wish I could run the setup I used to have and grow some monsters, but unfortunately I don't own the equipment anymore, I would have to run wire and add a breaker to our power box (very old house) and I just cant afford the extra $150 a month to run 1000-1400 watts

Here Is my setup/plans
I ordered 10 regular Master Kush seeds from nirvanashop.com and they throw in 10 random freebies, I am going to run 2 in veg and 2 in flower offset so that I am cropping about 1 plant per month. I plan on growing new strains from feminized seeds or clones from the local dispensary every month.. I am also growing 1 or 2 outdoor in the backyard next year so stay tuned for that

Setup: (I will be using the scrog method)
Veg- 175w MH street lamp no hood in a 4 foot by 2 foot wood box "18/6 light"
Flower- 150w HPS grow light 14"x10" reflector with tempered glass in a 5 foot by 3 foot grow tent "12/12 light"
I know..its small but if I can pull over an ounce dried a month ill be happy



Seedlings under 14w cfl 3/5 MK germinated and 5/10 freebies (I messed up and they all got really cold) since I can only have 4 I am keeping the 3 master kush and 1 mutated freebie (see pics), I am hoping for at least 1 MK female for a mother (ill be buying clones to fill in the males) if I dont get a MK female ill be planting the remaining 5 MK seeds from nirvana (I want to grow the MK outdoor next year)

did some macgyver work and made a little reflector, everything in the veg box was made from scratch, the exhaust fan is macgyver'd as well =) nothing is better than free!! I actually only have 30$ total in the veg room and that was the plywood lol (my workplace upgraded to l.e.d lights for the parking garage and I grabbed the MH ballast outa the trash bin) the fan was a broken light/fan combo for camping added some tin and ductape and the little intake fan is from an xbox360 "coolmaster" i found in the garage in a box of old stuff, if only I coulda got a free HPS ballast right?

I pulled the grow tent out of the box last night to set up and realized it is just a little too big to fit in the spot im growing, so I built another box that's a little shorter than the first box and moved the MH ballast and a blower (temporary blower, 115w is just too many watts ) NOW this will be the veg room and ill be flowering in the taller box with the scrog method, I also ordered a 6" booster fan and 150w bulb for the MH ballast to try and keep my total wattage of both rooms under 500w (yes the ballast supports both 150w and 175w bulbs)----

added a 42w CFL to try and reduce the stretching. cant get the MH much closer untill I get some ducting (dont mind the hemp/straw band-aid, the exhaust was sucking so hard at 400cfm she toppled )

Constructed a portable scrog for easy flushing with a piece of rubber coated shelving and some "hot dog sticks" . I just can't wait to fill it in!!

I decided since I can only fit 1 plant in my flower room (my grow tent wouldnt fit in my space ), to take the 150w back to the shop and order a 250w hps ballast kit and bulb, it ended up being $30 cheaper than the 150w but no reflector with it.. 150w harvest every 2 month just wasnt going to be enuff so ima scrog the fuck out of this shit and shoot for a QP every 2 months (more or less)..I also picked up a few things, ducting, new analog timer (didnt like the digital timer) and some other small stuff...oh and taco bell

the babies themselves are lookin fantastic, ill post pics in a day or so and have the flower room set up next week

got some seeds from a buddy who's been holding on to them for awhile..hope they are still good

Nirvana Freebie, possible triploid, I think its a sativa, very skinny leaves

picked up some organic soil, transplanted MK#1 and MK#2 , as soon as they are settled in I am going to top them and once I can get a decent clone from each of them, they are going into flower

nearly finished setting up the budget flower room 250w HPS + bulb & 240 cfm cheap booster fan= $70 Plywood= $30 total=$100

Veg room was even cheaper 175w MH = FREE! 6" ducting running to ceiling fan= $13.. dresser = $10 (garage sale) total= $23

found a couple 3.5 gal pots that fit perfectly, instead of doing just the one in a 5 gallon..figure 7 gal>5

Screen is 8 inches from top of pots and 21 inches from the bulb, so if my colas are under 15" ill be ok for space, if not I can always tie em somewhere

thanks, they where struggling a bit at first, from the crappy soil I planted them in im guessing (24-6-12 slow release turf king)
but the last few days they have been exploding and looking healthier so I think they are adjusted to the soil, just in time to get transplanted into some decent soil from - http://www.kellogggarden.com/products/gborganics/soils/

I am so excited to get a couple of these guys in the flower room, I plan on attempting to breed the Blueberry and the MK.."Master Smurf"??, sure there will be plenty of seeds to go around

I have some questions for you guys here on the forum, I received my ph meter today, my tap water is 7.1, a bit high, but I soaked one of my plants and tested the run off and it was 6.4. my question is.. ... should I lower the ph of the water with some ph down or should I just leave it alone and let my soil regulate the ph? if I do need to lower the ph of the water what should I get the numbers to? 6.5? 6.0? thank you very much in advance

topped MK "#1" today, plan on throwing him/her into flower soon so that I can have a small crop around my birthday assuming its a she =) soon as I feel like I can get a decent clone

Sorry I can't answer your ph question but if it's coming out 6.4 then it sounds like the soil is doing a good enough job! I look forward to seeing your topping results!

Day #18 one day after I topped the Master kush (#1) it hasn't slowed a bit

DAY #21 since the addition of the small oil heater the temps are around 70 degrees at night..up to 83 in the daytime but thats just on the top leaves and top of the soil..the veg room itself is 75 degrees all day

MK#1 and one of the Nirvana freebies (N#1) are going into the flower room today, should be about time to start the outdoor as soon as these 2 are done (got a small greenhouse only about 6 foot tall, doing 1 outdoor)
MK#1> MK#2> MK#3 (still lookin sick but growing just as fast

from the color and height of the plants my best guess is MK#1 and #2 are female, along with the "triploid" freebie (all super green and shorter).. the rest of the plants are much taller and have a lighter green color making me think they are male..we shall see =)
-ALL of the plants have now been topped once

The rest of the pics in order mk22 = MK#2 , N1 = freebie #1 (going in flower), trip = another freebie, the plant we thought was triploid but it looks like it was just a siamese twin leaf or something lol

3 days after topping and shes just about ready to exploid!!!! (MK#1 day#21)

Day #22 Happy thanksgiving, we all ate good today, including MK#1 and N#1, with there first feeding at day 2 of flower, 2 tbs/gal of some big bloom
