I had a slight sprinkling of seeds in all of my outdoor grow. I figured it was some neighborhood newby not knowing wtf they were doing. Thinking now its possible it was some long range drift from a hemp field.

No, sorry to be vague. I was thinking of an instance of someone literally being shot over drifting pollen from a legal farm, as you said.

The word help is disputed in the first paragraph. I understand sativa CAN be grown for hemp. Ruderalis can ONLY be used as hemp, as it contain no measurable psychoactive materials. Thanks for the clarification.

Hemp is raised for the use of the pulp from the stems in rope, canvas and other industrial uses. Plants are just like pot plants, just with low THC. Hemp will be 10-12 feet. Ruderalis are really short plants {less than 2 feet} that don't have enough pulp to bother using as hemp. But they are autos, meaning they flower as soon as sexually mature. That is the trait they are valued for.

I am in the deep South eastern Kentucky Appalachia. Ky is stepping up there hemp game. Eastern Ky however is not idea for growing hemp mostly because we have little fields and lots of rugged rolling terrain and mountains. Out in the western part of the state I reckon there are some big hemp fields... All I can say is keep that shit away from me and my crops and away from the east. Around here the economy is so shitty and there is so much money in growing, these guerilla farmers would not take well with hemp pollen blowing everywhere.
I got some seed from a guy I know out in the western part of the state a couple years ago and I swear when I grew it out, it had to of been hemp. Thought it was some nice land race sativa trees at first, the shit didn't find it till November and had hardly zero trichs on it... The nose on it was very odd as well, did not smell like your average weed. Those seeds even though I had hundreds, went in the burn pile!

They seed em here for the hemp seeds. Goes onto bread and other food usages. Not much return on hemp fibre here atm due to the limited size of operations allowable.
I know of one guy wanting to extract the hemp seed oil for what he believes would be a limited but valuable product.
