So im on the second week of flowering and left town for 3 days... about 2 days in my roommate discovered the drippers stopped functioning and the 2 ladies were incredibly sad. i had him hand water until i got home to see the damage, which was pretty extensive. One was completely toast, whereas the other perked back up a little, but had significant heat stress to it. I removed the majority of the cripsy leaves/branches and put her back into her normal 12/12 routine getting fed 3 times a day. anything else i can do to help with the shock of heat stress then me hacking away the dead stuff?

I realize that this kind of stress in the 2nd and 3rd week of flowering is brutal, but with a little TLC, any chance ill still get a decent yield?

Sorry to hear about you misfortune, but stop removing anything. If is just lack of water, for 2 day's they should recover. If they were burnt, then there is no hope if the plants was extensively damaged. Peace

i removed the branches that were literally crispy and falling apart in my hand. the majority of all the mains seem OK but look extremely thin from removing dead fans

mind you, they are in 2 gal smarties and fed 3 times a day. they are usually fairly dry within a couple hours, so 2 days without water was quite a lengthy period for them.

I guess I fail to understand why you feed/water 3x a day? You should water until you have some decent run off, then let them dry out before watering again. If you are only giving them a little water at a time you are training your roots to stay near the top of the soil, not a healthy idea.

I would give them a couple days to see what will come back, if it doesn't it's lost. Your fan leaves are what the plant uses to absorb energy so yes, it will affect your yield.

Good luck.

im guessing you have never ran coco with multiple feeds....its quite astounding. i do feed till slight runoff everytime, and within a few hours its ready to be fed again....this wouldnt work in 5 gallon pots or anything large as the medium doesnt have enough time to dry out before the next feed...however i also use drip clean. runoff EC is always right around where i want it to be.

if you havent tried coco with multiple feeds, i suggest you try it. once getting the environment dialed, i have yet to run anything that comes close to the vigor and explosive growth i get with multiple feeds in coco
