Just wanted to touch base with every body-

Changes have been set in for about 12 hours now:
-Ph...5.9
-ppm...650
-res F...71.7
-ambient F...77
-RH...23%

Some spots have spread up the newer growth, but im thinking since they were leaves that had been very lightly affected already they were going to spread up it at least a little more no matter what.

I havnt measured them since monday and noticed right off the bat that they werent "perky," but were definitely taller, so i figured eh, why not and they had both grown about an 1".

WOOO!! hahaha.. i feel stupid but they've been stunted for...a week give or take, so to have a noticeable height difference is a VERY good sign and that light at the end of the tunnel just flickered a bit.

I really need to get a humidifier... but I want a good, sturdy, high cap., but compact unit. Essik makes some nice ones but havnt been able to snag a deal.

I'm gonna keep an eye over the 48 and keep everybody posted, till then, any one have a suggestion for a good humidifier?

Dawg just fully read that microbe tea thread, fucking sweet. Im going to have to make a seperate tote setup for this outside the G.Room to keep a consistent 3-5 gallons on hand.....hell, maybe even smaller. Now on to that PM.

My Brother I Use A 20.00 1 Gallon Sunbeam Humidifier From Walmart And It Works Great. It Will Run For 8 Hours. Now For Some Tea Tips.Straining Your Tea Is A Waste Of Time.I Use The Drip Ring System With No Problems.Make Sure You Leave Room At The Top Of Your Tea Container And Leave It Uncaped. This Allows The Bennies To Breathe.Shake The Container Once A Day This Will Keep Your Bennines On Their Toes And It Adds Oxygen.I Do Not Put My EWC In A Sock Again A Compelet Was Of Time.Theirs No Need In Adding Your Zho In The Begging Of Your Brew.Instead Add It At The 47th Hour Of Brewing.Zho Only Needs 1 Hour Of Airretion To Activate.I Would Say 1 Gallon Is All You Need To Brew At A Time. You Have A 9 Gl Res So At Res Change You Would Add 1 Cup Per Gl With 1/2 Cup Per Gl To Refresh Every 3 Days. The More Air You Have While Brewing The Better.Below Is Pics Of My Brewing Bucket.

Yep All Ingredients Can Be Found At Your Hydro Store.Remeber That Any EWC Will Work Although Ancient Forest Is The Best And Some Hydro Stores Dont carry Zho However The Carry Great White.I Use Both GW And Zho Because I Ran Out Of Zho And They Had GW And I Was In Need That Day.Now I Will Say This That I Have More GW Than Zho And Both Are 4oz Go Figure Someting Is A Mess Their Because I Recived The Zho About A Month Later Because Of A Back Order??1 Last Thing You Tea Will Only Last 10 Days In The Fridge.

You're the bee's knees...legs, and arms, Dawg! Can't thank you enough.

Couldnt tell a difference between ZHO and GW? And does it HAVE to be refigirated, ie sittin on a cold concert floor?

Great read... I was wondering if someone could clarify this for me. Fairly new to DWC I used the Heisenburg method with great success, then after a suggestion from Superstoner1 switched to using Pondzyme. At a fraction of the cost roots couldn't be healthier or whiter. I am able to keep water temp below 20 C , 70 F. What's the diff. between the two? (Heisenburg - Pondzyme)

alright so i have a bottled drinking water with a ppm of 200 do you guys think i need cal mag or should that 200ppm be good?
What kindve bottled water are you drinking..

I have noticed the search bar in the top right is really quite helpful, throw in some key words and it pulls up everything with the linger of a fart from those words... a bit more polite than jacking threads. (I am just as guilty..but I had the same situations as the thread described..)

I have personally seen SEVERAL threads asking this exact same question..lol. go to DWC/bubbleponics...and search man. its that easy.

Your water is fine, perfect if you're just looking for water with some buffer to it, RO if you want to get serious about whats in your water- worthy investment.

I don't know anything about those Purp...though Dawg may have some input for us.

Welcome Brother TriPurple.I Did Alittle Research On Pondzyme. It Looks To Be A Water Clearing Agent That Also Eats Pond Skum And Alge.It Only Has 5 Bacteria Species And It Ends With zyme Which In Heisenburgs It States Anything That Ends With zyme Has The Potential To Feed The Brown Root Slime. So Those 2 Has Me A Bit Concerned.I Will Go To Petco Tomorrow And Check Out The Bacteria It Has.

Sorry Brother I Got Involved In My Research On Pondzyme And Skip Over This One My Bad.Basicly Their The Same Except That GW Have Bennie Food In It And It Needs To Be Added At The Beggining Of Your Brew And Zho You Add At The End.I Dont Know About The Concreat Thing The Reason We Refriderate The Bennies Is To Keep Them In A Supended Statis And Not Aging. The Reason Its Suggested to Shake Once A Day It To Wake Them Up Alittle And It Adds Oxygen.Remeber Your Tea Will Only Last 10 days In The Fridge So If You Store Your Tea On The Concreat Keep Checking For A Foul Smell.1 Last Thing USE R/O WATER FOR BREWING

Dont worry about it! i figured you'd get to it at some point.

Thanks for the pointers dawg, so could GW partially replace the mollasses?
Checklist:
-RO cold
-Week and half shelf life
-Keep it cold
-Stir em up a bit every day

As for Hash: Recently Dawg has told me to run 5ml/Gallon, threw in 4.5 and kids seem to love it so far,

Ok My Brother Ive Read And Re-Read Your Post.First Of All Your Ppms Are Too Low For 5 1/2 Weeks Of Veg.This Is My Basic Nute Program With A Gro And Bloom Nutes.
First 10 Days R/0 Water Only
For Vegging I Do Not Count The First 10 Days
Week 1 400
Week 2 550
Week 3 550
Week 4 750
Additional Weeks Of Veg 750

Flower
Week 1 950
Week 2 1000
Week 3-7 1100
Week 8 950
Week 9 250

Now I Noticed Your Adding 15-17ml Of Cal/Mag Is This Per Gallon Or Is That All Your Adding To Your Res?If This Is All Your Adding To Your Res That Calulates To About 1.5ml Per Gallon Which Is Not Enough Cal/Mag.I Also Notice Your Using Botanicare Cal/Mag Which On The Back Of The Bottle It States To Use 10ml Per Gallon Which IMHO Is Too Much.I Start Off With 5ml Per Gallon And I Havent Had To Go Above 7.5ml Per Gallon Yet.

You Sound Like Myself On My First Hydro Grow Presisly Measuring Out Everything That Was Added.I Now Add 5ml Of Cal/Mag Per Gallon And Then Add My Nutes To Achive My Ppm Level.I Suggest You Do This And I Would Measure Out What It Takes Per Gallon Then Multiply This By The Number Of Gallons Your Res Takes.Hope This Helps Ya Out And In The Future If Your Needing My Help Just Come To My Journal Or Pm Me Im Always Ready To Spread Some Love :weed:

Oh I Forgot To Add That This Is Just My Basic Nute Program And I Adjust According To My Plants Needs

Yoe scotch did the raising of the PPM help rid the zinc looking Deficiancy? I got pretty much the same exact setup and nute line and have the same prob with the yellow banding on the middle and edge of top shoots. I just flushed the res and started my PPM at about 200 right now went up to 500PPM but they started burning they are in they're 2nd week veg...thanks!

it has helped, now the calcium spots are still spreading very slowly so next res change Im gonna kick it up to 6ml/gal of Cal/Mag+ (originally threw in 4.5/gal), may just be that Tangerine Dream needs a little more in its regime. The magnesium chlorosis is permanent and wont recover, but still seems to be slowing.

This is the first time I have ever added that much to my grow so this is all new turf for me. I think dawg was right on with 0ppm for the first ten days, Ive always done 150ppm of cal/mag and the younger ones loved it.

Being two weeks in veg... I'd do like 4ml/gal to start with and they should perk up within hours, and throw in like 150ppm of Gro. Again, Im still wrapping my head around this large quantity of Cal/Mag so bear with me but so far Dawg has not steered me wrong. Great guy.

Cool I only got the yellowing calmag def looking prob but I noticed before I changed the res when the PPMs were at around 400-500PPM the problem looked like it was subsiding...so I upd it to around 477PPM n I'm hopin for the best! Thanks for the advice. I have a thread on the prob and I too have been fighting this issue with no solution or help and also order GH nutes and keep the dyna for soil...we'll see what happens...I'm gonna test the GH on the next batch and see if it's a smoother ride but always loved my dynagro in my previous soil grows! Peace!

Haha yes I'm following your journal; "penny's" eatin up that cal/mag brother! Thinkin my indica dominant TD is going to be up there, still strong mag def, the sativa faintly has the spots- I completely agree with Dawg, even varies by pheno.

Even having to listen to this "newbness," dawg is still as polite as ever and provides as much help as he can.

Thanks Dawg
