Led ufo?

I've been seriously looking into doing a closet grow. Since I will need to keep my energy costs down, I was looking into low-energy lighting solutions, and stumbled upon the LED UFO. Its 600 dollars, but if it does what it claims to do, then I think its worth the price. Anyone have any experience with the LED UFO, or can suggest something better. I'm looking into cultivating prolly one plant at a time.

no, it is more like 150w HPS. 2 55w panels from htgsupply.com work as well as a UFO but are less expensive. Nothing beats HPS!

Definitely not worth the cost. You'd be better off with HPS, CFL, MH...really anything commonly used for growing. Not to say that LEDs don't work and don't have a place, but given the price to performance ratio, I think it's an obvious choice. Anything under 400 or 500 watts really won't do too much to your energy bill...unless you live some place where that's significant and energy is expensive, but here it's pretty much nothing. Go for an HPS or some CFLs. Only advantage to LEDs is less heat, but you don't need that kind of extreme low wattage unless you're growing in some place with absolutely no airflow or something.
