so i am a total newbie at this....

I have a small space and that is it for now...

i have a 180 watt LED light, equal or greater than a 600HPS. here is the link to the exact LED from Haight Solid State...

http://shop.haightsolidstate.com/Hai...ht-PPF-800.htm

180W LED Grow Light
The ideal size for both vegetative growth and flowering of full sun loving plants
Covers up to 4x4 ft
31 - 6W wide beam LEDs
Red, blue and white LEDs for a complete full spectrum
Separate High/Low power control for blue/white and red
120V indoor use only
15 x 20 x 1 inch
3.5 lbs

i also have foxfarm ocean soil, one gallon buckets and trays, bat guano, and honey bee nutrients?....thats it i have no clue what to do with it...

I am planning on building a cabinet once i get more information. First off is a grow tent the same as a cabinet? What else will i need if i have the light and soil/plants? light, soil, plant, nutrients, fan even though it is LED?, do i need a air filter for the smell?

I know i need to buy PH stuff so i will do that, but please explain what it is that i do?

Where do i start once the cabinet is ready? What else do i need? i am going to get some clones so what is the next step?

some other questions i cant figure out is..... do the clones start underneath the LED light or do i need a different light? what size soil bucket should the little plants start in? how far should the light be from the plants etc. when do i change modes...etc.

Please any help i can get! please don't respond with some other post...i have looked and read and nothing is clear to me or i would be asking.

Yes, a tent is much like a cabinet. The first thing you will need to do is check the quality of your water. It all starts there. If you are on city water, you will need to check the PH of your water. That is what the PH tester is for, and then you have to balance the PH after you add the nutrients. You will need something for odor control.

i have 2 90watt leds and they work great not saying there better than a 600 watt but damn close. I also agree with harorld this is how i first learned to grow was just reading forums and i bought a few books. you will need a fan and exhaust and at least a carbon filter, if not more when they are flowering. i even have a few air purifiers around to help during flowering. remember the more work you put into this in the beginning the less you will have to work later, and you will have a much better final product.

So this is my first grow and i get the clones in 2 days so please help me fast!
after watching and reviewing this website, which is so helpful!, i decided to do my first with 45 gallon plastic tubs. i have attatched a few photos

1. is this too many cfl's? or not enough?

2. would you do alot more smaller or keep the bigger pots?

3. would you use cfl's for veg, flower, or both?

4. how might you set it up? would you do double stack?
so its two bucket stall...that's what im thinking

5. when do i use the different types of cfls? i think from what ive read you use the 6500 for veg and 2700 for flower, but i've also heard use both simultaneously...please help!

6 . should i use the cfls just for veg? or can i set it up so i can grow from start to finish? seed to bud.

7 . What kind of bulbs do i need, do they change from veg to flower?
how far from plant should they be?

8. can i grow from just seeds with CFL's?

9 . should i do a scrog or just normal grow? Scrog sounds interesting and the screen would fit perfect in between two buckets if double stacked...

As you can see i also have a LED light i am going to do a start to finish, veg and flower, under this LED light. It has different settings and spectrums for the different stages***UNLESS*** its a better idea to use the cfl's for one part and the LED for the other.

please tell me what you would do! i have room for two containers double stacked or single stacked, i just want to be able to either be growing twice as much or cropping twice as fast. By that i mean veg with CFL and flower with LED buckets, or just grow one round with CFL and one round with LED at the same time....

You can answer all of your questions if you take some time to read yourself.

1.those are enough but you can never have too much cfls so more the better.
2.I would veg in smaller pots then put them in bigger 1s.
3.You can use it for both but i would veg with them budding with cfls will leave some airy buds.I would use a hps.
4.Ill go with the double stack more room to grow
5.You can use both colors but blue is good for veg and the red/orange is good for flowering. Both specs would be best.
6.Its up to you.I will jsut use them for veg
7.They have cfls from 13 watts all the way to 200.The lower wattage the more you will need to get some decent sized plants.
8.Yes you can if you want to many people do so.
9.Scrog will be best for your setup go for it.
Now does that answer all of your questions.Let me know if i missed anything.
