LED repair

I have an XML-150 that needs new drivers, but the company began ignoring me when I told them that I didn't have the original box to ship it back with. What I'm wondering is if I can replace these China-crap drivers myself with quality Meanwell drivers? The two in the unit are 580 - 630 mA and 50 - 80 V. Is there a Meanwell product that would be compatible here?

Check the output voltage of the working side first, but an HLG 80 700 should work. It's max voltage is 129 though so it may not be big enough but it would be a little brighter.
If that were my light, I'd use the case and do a cob style conversion. Growmau5 does one on YouTube. You're already half way there.

So sad. Even if you fix that side, you still have 2 monos out on each working square.

You may also want to look into the PLD series. For a cheaper smaller option for replacement. It is dimable from the inside with a small pot. So you can fine tune it to match the intensity of the working side.

@Airwalker16 those may be UVA or actinic, dim to the human eye.

Possible. They were just out in different spots so that's why I thought.

@Growmau5 do you think it'd be worth it to grab 2- 4' PURE UVB Bulbs in their own single bulb fixture with reflectors on each side of my tent aiming at a 45*ish angle down onto the screen canopy?

It's in the same position, with the puck rotated 180 degrees, see it. I think the best way to answer your question is to show you a photo of a lamp sitting in my living room, that I will be testing on my next run. It will be my first experience with uvb supplementation.

ReptiSun gives 5 MAYBE 10% uvb. Read the description PLEASE on this website on this bulb. Says it has 15x a reptile bulb. THIS is the bulb: http://www.htgsupply.com/products/agromax-4-foot-t5-pure-uv-bulb
Is 75% UVB and 25% UVA. It's kicks the shit out of a reptile bulb.

And with the fixture, I'm saying, if they were brought up from facing down 45* so the reflectors on upper side were level, would that be a smart way to cast footprint over the canopy? I think you need to look into these bulbs...

I thought about doing a conversion, but this light is being relegated to my veg tent once I can get it working again, so I don't think it'll be prudent to undertake that kind of project.

The working side is flickering so that driver will also have to be repaired. @Growmau5 Keep in mind this unit has two dials to adjust intensity (dimmers?) so I'll have to keep scratching my head while I figure out how to integrate all of this.

Hello @Growmau5,
I am doing the exact same thing on my next run. Fits perfectly between two 100cm light bars. Im thinking a couple of hours during "midday" of the flowering light cycle.
