If your new to growing id go with an hps.....
True ..led will grow bud and save on bills n reduce heat ...but youll need a 1000 dollars in leds just too compete with a 400....
Easily i spend less than 30 a month on average electrictiy bill ,
It would take me 3 years just to make the money i spent back , on a led , seeing as my 400 system was only 180...
I have no heat issues so im good and will save my money untill the tech is cheaper.....
I talked to my local hydro shop guy .....
hes a grower as welll...
He has a 1000 watt led for sell for a G.....
And he told me that the 1000 watter will basically do the same thing as the 400 system for $200....
So he dosnt buy them anymore.....
Ive seen many dro shop have a led in the window case..... and then a couple weeks later..the hps is back in its spot....
Too many customers will return complaining of crap yields( they dont understand that a 400 watt led wont draw 400 watts..lol) .... for the most part ... led buyers are mostly newbies just getting into the grow game....
Not all of them ..... but a master grower will get yield from any light that draws atleast 300 watts.....
